Panfandom, medium-paced and now transitioning to comm-based, Mayfield is known for its stunningly in-depth events, relaxed AC, and large playerbase. The pace picks up to 'fast' during events, but there are nice stretches of medium activity in the downtime, and player plots always seem to be met with enthusiasm.
It takes place in bland 50's American suburbia; characters are forced to live together in 'happy little nuclear families' and are stripped of their powers upon arrival, but can gain them back as time goes on. There's a complex overarching plot, and individual characters are often given clues in threads with NPCs, which draws a lot of CR to you. Violence and death are common during events, but can be opted out of, and a killed character returns to life the next day.
