PSYCH @ Mayfield & Beyond the Rift

Hi there! We're looking for characters from the USA Network dramedy PSYCH.

mayfield_rpg is a medium-paced panfandom game that has horror elements and is set in 1950's America. Characters wake up in their assigned houses with no recollection of arriving nor with anything that connects them to their homeworld. They are forced to live in nuclear families with a random assortment of people or drones if none are present in said household, and must conform to society to some extent or risk being brainwashed.

Reserves are open until Midnight EST on July 6th and Applications open right after that. Activity Check is fairly easy - 3 threads with 3 different characters per month, each containing a minimum of 4 comments from your character.

• WE HAVE: Carlton Lassiter, Juliet O'Hara.
○ WE WANT, PLEASE GIVE US: Shawn Spencer, Burton Guster, Karen Vick, Buzz McNab, Woody Strode, Henry Spencer, Marlowe Viccellio, Mr. Yin, Mr. Yang, Mary Lightly...BASICALLY EVERYONE. (if it's possible anyway)

Juliet-mun and I would enjoy anyone that comes to our little cast of two, but we especially want a Shawn and by definition - Gus. Lassie and Jules are from the end of Season 6, so Juliet obviously misses her psychic boyfriend while Lassie is missing his dear Marlowe.

The thing is - Lassiter's starting to get far too complacent in this Spencer-free environment, and this is simply hell freezing over. PLEASE CHANGE THIS.

The Detectives are currently investigating Mayfield (and coming up with nothing solid) to find out who is behind everything, so they would love and could use the help!

beyondtherift is a slow-paced, prose-oriented, small panfandom game set in a Chicago that's located in an Alternate Universe. It's like living in a warzone - with Angels, Demons, Supernatural Humans and the Wanderers that find themselves falling through the rift fighting, loving and even dying. Yet Chicago keeps getting stranger and more dangerous as the days drift on by.

Each Character that falls through the rift is granted a player-chosen rift ability.

Applications and Reserves are both currently open! Activity Check is easy - 1 prose thread that's a minimum of 5 comments long per month.

Shawn's been in Chicago nearly 2 years without his best friend and he misses him a lot, so obviously that means you should totally should app the one and only MC Clap-yo-Handz to our wonderful post-Season 4 cast. You know, the one that involved a clocktower and feelings.

He also runs a private investigation agency with the lovely Nymphadora Tonks, (don't worry, she hasn't taken over the best friend position!) and drives a wiener mobile named Irma, so the Blueberry is a must have in Chicago.

Juliet is currently struggling with both her Yin ordeal and winding up in Chicago, all while trying to babysit keep an eye on Lassiter and prevent him from shooting Shawn.
All in all - they're all trying to look after each other and making sure none of them gets killed.

The rift decided to troll us, making Juliet an empath, allowing Shawn to actually have real psychic visions, and Lassiter...well...He can manifest guns out of thin air. Don't piss him off.

As a bonus: If you join either game, Juliet-mun has graciously offered to make all the icons ever, and we're more than happy to answer any and all questions that you may have.

There is no app cycle! Apps are accepted on a rolling basis, the only real limits come with fandoms that already have ten characters or more.

Yeah, it's pretty slow paced, given that it's prose oriented. Juliet and I have only really been in the game about a month, but we both find it fairly easy to stay on top of, and it's extremely backtag friendly, with some of the characters in-game still doing threads from months ago!

Honestly you guys had me sold on the cast alone. I've waited about a year to have a core cast like this to play Gus with, and the game premise sounds fascinating!

WELL /lol - in fandom's defense it was a Pokemon game, and there was a castmate for a bit! I've just been keeping my eyes open for the right game, and this might be it, I think!

Oh, don't worry about that! I was in Mayfield once before, and it proved to be way too busy for me to keep up with! It's actually a relief to see you guys moved to a place that looks a little slower. xD

Yeaaaaaaaah. Mayfield was going into endgame anyway, and we had both hiatused at the worst time, and by the time we were coming back we were pretty much lost with catching up because the pace went into overkill.

But, I just pinged the three of them on plurk, so, hopefully this works out! :D

I'm totally up for it if your Shawn and Gus players give the okay! It's so hard to find other Psych players, let alone the central four in one game. I've sort of been taking peeks around since I first saw "An Evening With Mr. Yang."
