They assure you you're safe within its boundaries, but until someone finds out what happened to those who came before you, there's no proof of that. With monsters waiting outside the borders to rip you to shreds and someone on the inside causing trouble, Camp Half-Blood is no paradise, but it should keep you alive... (mostly).
