Now, after who-knows-how-long of being pressed and bared down by darkening blue water with a little silver chain clutched in your fingers, a current has caught you, pulled you free, and set you at the top of a waterfall. In a moment, you splash down into water again. But this time, in only minutes, you float to a surface.
Shake the water out of your eyes. You'll find yourself in a little cove. Grass and flowers grow in tufts along the stream flowing out of the mouth before you. In the distance is an ocean. Behind you, three thin waterfalls pour from three openings in the cave ceiling. Behind them, set into a shelf in the wall, is a statue of a woman with soft eyes, long loops and tendrils of hair, an airy dress.
The Harvest Goddess welcomes you to Goddess Grotto - but she suggests you climb out, dry yourself off, and begin finding your way around Cape Beryl. The heart-shaped pendant you're wearing - the one on the chain that you were holding, now fastened around your neck - is a present from her, but that treasure for you at the bottom of the pond is still out there for you to find.

Goddess Grotto is a panfandom "jamjar"-style friendship- and romance-oriented game based on the Harvest Moon and Rune Factory video games. Its attitude is low-tension and slice-of-life by default, but with a plot to be advanced by character participation and regular events, including village festivals! In between, there is plenty for characters to do - explore the woods and caves, start a business, make an agreement with the Harvest Sprites for some land to farm in the Harvest Goddess's honor.
All are encouraged to make friends - that Heart Pendant each character is equipped with changes color to reflect their feelings for whoever they have on the mind, and certain colors can be used to find unexpected rewards! OU, AU, and non-fandom original characters are all welcome.
