I've recently been replaying the Kingdom Hearts game and would love seeing some characters over at krimmenos. I can't offer you a cast but it does fit a lot of your other requirements. It's a small and still fairly newish game, which definitely fits the slow aspect you're looking for! Posts don't go up too often yet, but people are pretty active when they're up and backtag forever.

It's not a sex or horror game, it's actually a game with a variety of different kinds of smaller events and very active NPC's. Which is a very neat point, there have been a ton of opportunities already to either talk to the NPC's in person or over the Network. The premise of the game is that characters were saved after their apparent deaths the Orpheads and will eventually be used in a war between them and Death itself. The are you actually dead or not aspect might be a very interesting thing to play with considering Roxas and Xion's storylines!
