I don't have a cast to offer, but I have really, really longed for cannibal demons at synodiporia, so let me pitch this anyway.
The basic premise is that the characters are on a long journey of getting tossed from universe to universe, and in each stop there's some problem or situation they have to fix or do something about. Currently we're dealing with some gang warfare and a Romeo and Juliet type situation in Prohibition-era New York, next month we're going to be headed to a medieval fantasy kingdom; it's set to change about every month (although with some flexibility for how player progress is going). The tone can vary from jaunt to jaunt, but we're definitely not chiefly slice of life.
There's sort of an optional AU/memory loss bit to how the setup works, but it's also 100% optional and so you never have to do it if you wish. (Every stop, some characters may temporarily lose their memories and instead think they're part of that setting and have always been there; they're also given some of the pieces of the plot that everyone else is working to solve.)
We're only in our first month, so it's hard to make sweeping statements about pace and play style, but I would say that so far the log/face-to-face interactions have definitely far outweighed network stuff; the network is more just there as a tool to help the characters coordinate their investigations, while the bulk of the action is logs. Our head mod is pretty proactive at getting up big mingle-type logs on a regular basis to give everyone places to go bug each other. I'd call us slow to medium pace at the moment; we're also taking notes for the first couple months and might be adjusting AC to fit what the player base is comfortable with, so it's currently a 30 comment AC that may be loosened up a little.
We have an ad right here, if I've missed anything important! We don't have a strong Megaten presence yet (though we have a couple characters), but I absolutely love DDS and would do horrible things to see the Embryon around.
