A few months back one of the major cities was attacked by a giant monster, and this month we have a beauty pageant event. Though, sadly, we don't have cast mates to offer, but we've had people talking about starting a Soul Eater cast on Plurk.

It's very backtag friendly, I'm still tagging a thread that's a few months old. It's usually slow-medium paced, but it can definitely pick up during major events. As for an easy AC... it actually has no AC. And yes, it's still very, very active.
