eachdraidh might suit your purposes. It's got a lovely ASOIAF cast already (including a Ned and a Joffrey) and it's at a pace that I think might suit someone trying to get back in. AC is easy and there's events every month for characters to get involved in. It's a fantasy game that takes place in the Drabwurld (fairie world) and you can be part of either the seelie or unseelie kingdom. I'm certain that castmates and gamemates would be happy to backtag and help you get on your feet if you need a little leeway.
