The year: 2016. The town: Los Angeles, in a world where manufactured humans work with us, play with us, and live with us, indistinguishable from anyone else yet undeniably better than everyone else. A new model of these enhanced replicants has just hit the streets—Tyrell Corporation's latest and greatest, the Nexus-6—with the press eagerly extolling their kind as the next in mankind's evolutionary line.

Not all is as it seems with these so-called prodigies, however, and what begins an apparent malfunction quickly manifests into something else altogether...

Nexus-6 is a dystopian, cyberpunk-style AU game loosely based in the Blade Runner universe. Events will follow an original, adaptive storyline, with an emphasis on player contribution and involvement.

Do I need to be familiar with Blade Runner to play?

Not at all. Any canon jargon will explained in detail if and when it comes up, and for the most part, Blade Runner obeys most standard rules of cyberpunk, so that's about what you can expect: a dystopic, dried up society with heavy tech elements woven in between.

Who can my character be, then?

Anyone—be they Runner, replicant, or citizen. So long as you're not placing your character in an immediate seat of power or otherwise breaking balance too much, the role your character can play is entirely up to you.

Why should I play here?

Nexus-6 is intended to be run as a game shaped primarily by its players. We are seeking to actively reward exploration and initiative, and tell a pretty cool story along the way! If you want to be part of that living story, enjoy a deeper narrative, or just want to stick your character in an AU sandbox and set them loose as a fire-breathing replicant with cyborg arms, let Nexus-6 be your oyster.

...we were mostly joking about the fire-breathing part. Mostly.
