It is made of wood, and stone, and glass, and surrounded by beautiful trees, purple-leafed maple and quivering-leafed aspen, and banks of riotous flowers, constantly humming with bees and hawkmoths. The lake is deep and blue and calm, aside from the occasional flip of a fish or splash of a frog, and herons step their stilt-legged ways through the shallows.
A long tendril of the lake snakes away out of sight, around a small, willow-shaded hill and into the endless hedge maze.
Or, at least, it seems endless; no mountains rise from the horizon to break the endless greenery, and even from the roof of the house, there's no edge visible, only swirling paths wrapping over and around the rolling hills, dead-ends blooming outwards into brilliant-painted gardens, with benches, fountains, trees, and ivy-wrapped gazebos nestled amongst the flower beds.

The house is brightly-lit, its windows catching the sunlight and spilling it across smooth wooden floors and soft rugs and furnishings. The pantries are always full when opened, and the closets always have exactly what is being looked for.
Always.
The basement is less beautiful, but the doors in it-- and there are many doors in the basement, more than any basement should ever need-- always open onto something special, as well, eager to be used for whatever desires they can fulfill. ✿
