If you linger too long, you'll feel a strange compulsion to disembark, as though both your body and your will are being pushed by an unseen force. The train rattles away regardless of if you’d like to go back onto it once more. You'll find a strange pocketwatch in your possession and you may be so lucky as to hear voices through it —- your fellow city residents. Perhaps it is wise to reach out, to seek some semblance of camaraderie and comfort in this strange city. To learn of the who and whys of your being brought here.
Either way, it's best to make yourself at home since as you'll soon find out, there is no way out.

Ruby City is a pan-fandom jamjar experience that incorporates elements from most genres, including but not limited to: crack, horror, adventure, survival, and mystery. Characters find themselves brought to the city by train and trapped, unable to leave the city and its surrounding island landscape. Events occur regularly, and while most are moderated, players are encouraged to run game-wide events as well. Stretches of downtime between events are given to let players work on personal plots and character development. The game is slow to moderately paced, though this often quickens during events. Ruby City is a laid back game eager to welcome you, and much of it is shapeable by individual players -- from locations that exist within the city to suggestions for events.
