The air is tight in your lungs, your vision distorted by a dark film of water. You kick desperately upward for oxygen, breaching the water's surface and sucking in a relieved gasp of air. Saltwater runs down your face and hair in rivulets, the ocean dark and tumultuous and stretching in every direction, and there’s nowhere to go.

Nowhere except the Lighthouse, that is.

It rears up in front of you, an imposing column of black imprinted against the powdered scatter of stars in the night sky, the light at its end a glowering beacon. You can swim for it or let the current take you - you end up at its doorstep regardless. Panting, shivering, and wholly drenched, you enter the tall double doors left open at the Lighthouse’s base. They thud shut behind you until, with the hiss of igniting gas lamps, the interior illuminates itself for the new arrival. A golden statue leers out at you from the darkness, the red banner draped beneath it proclaiming:

NO GODS OR KINGS.

City of Rapture is a panfandom medium-paced roleplaying game set in the BioShock universe, in the underwater city of Rapture with an overarching plot entailing the city’s civil war and inevitable downfall. The game is community- and prose-based with virtually non-existent AC and an extremely backtag-friendly atmosphere. Fade Rift is a new panfandom game set in Thedas, the world of the Dragon Age series. It begins just a few weeks after a major battle at Haven sealed the demon-spewing Breach in the sky, but left the Inquisition's base destroyed and leader dead. With the nascent peacekeeping order scrambling to find their footing, the world around them continues to tumble into conflict. The game will feature wide-ranging fantasy adventure, intrigue, and politics, and will allow characters from throughout the series as well as newcomers of all stripes to join the effort to find a new order in a rapidly-changing world.

Fade Rift allows Dragon Age characters, native OCs, AU'd native panfandom characters, and OCs or OU panfandom characters who arrive in Thedas through tears in the Veil. Reserves open at 11:59 EST on November 4. Applications open at 11:59 EST on November 14 and close at 11:59 EST on November 19.

You start to doze, the tiredness creeping up on you unexpectedly. Perhaps you were walking home, or sitting in a car. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary.

The sudden exhaustion must be the source of the dysphoria. Clearly the sense of falling is just part of a dream.

Nevertheless, you wake in a bed. Your clothes have been changed, and your things are missing. The trunk at the bottom of the bed has your name engraved on the plate. A strange notebook warms to your touch and holds your name.

About the Game:

Maison De Portes is a pan-fandom survival horror/mystery game. The potential for death and harm to come to your characters is almost guaranteed. The game is prose-only, with a very easy activity check. We have multiple story paths, with endings to be decided by the actions of the characters. The game is slow to mid paced, fairly small, with lots of chances for characters to work together to solve the situation they find themselves in. We are very backtag friendly and very willing to work around schedules, we feel that RP should be fun, not an additional job. Apps and reserves are currently open! We accept OCs and AUs as well as canon characters.

So what's new about this reboot at the end of the month?

The game is reopening after a month and a half of downtime with a brand new setting, brand new network community, not to mention new monsters and NPCs. We're trying out some new game mechanics and we're very excited to reopen and bring this game back on Halloween!

We'll be posting both a test drive meme and a plotting meme between now and the reopening, and feel free to ask any questions about the changes that haven't been covered yet in the updated information!

PREMISE - SETTING - TAKEN - FAQ - NAVIGATION

WITHSTAND is a panfandom, OC-friendly RP based on concepts from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Characters can arrive either voluntarily or involuntarily, and they acquire Stand powers on their arrival—these powers will replace whatever (supernatural) skills they have in canon, and they can be as similar or as different from their canon skills as you like.

The focus of the game is primarily character-driven interaction, with IC motivation to investigate their new powers; for characters to survive they must find creative ways to use their Stands, either to help the other residents or hurt them. Players are encouraged to run their own events, using their powers – as long as their Stand allows for a dungeon or dream post or hot dog eating contest, there are few limits placed on what you can do. NPC investigators, abductees and maybe even your alien hosts may also make things extra interesting now and then, via mod-run plot events.

Familiarity with JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is absolutely not required. However, the game should generally match the canon in tone: music references, really weird powers, ridiculous dramatics, potential body horror, and a flexible approach that focuses on fun and cool stuff happening.

THE ENDGAME

Armageddon. Apocalypse. End of Days.

You have all heard the words used before. Some of you might even know the lore. None of you, however, expected it to go down quite like this.

The world is in the process of dying. Disease and destruction ravage the land. Cities lie in ruins and entire civilizations have fallen virtually overnight. Humanity is becoming an endangered species with each passing day.

Don't worry, though, it's all going according to plan. What plan, you might ask? Why, God's plan, of course. Granted the instructions aren't always very clear and can be open to interpretation - wording really is funny that way - but the general concept is understood well enough. The two factions - Light and Darkness - will face off and, with the aid of an army, one side will be victorious while the other will be destroyed.

In short? Both sides are gearing up for the ultimate smackdown and have circumvented the walls of reality itself in order to bring in recruits to aid them in their ultimate victory.

So pick a side. Will you fight next to the Archangel Michael and help usher in a new Heaven on Earth? Or perhaps you're more comfortable following the Devil Himself into battle and ensuring your place as a king amongst captives when Hell takes over? Or maybe you're the risky type and want to stay neutral. Wait it out and see what happens. Whatever your choice, one thing is absolutely, crystal clear.

Once you've been recruited, you're here to stay. So choose wisely. Your future depends on it.

HADRIEL

Two gods, opposed in all things, struggling for power. One threw open a door, allowing the entrance of evil and chaos - and you. Because power comes from emotion, and you are the thing that can provide that emotion. Your fear and your hope can strengthen the gods, but though they may see you as not much more than ambulatory batteries, that doesn't mean you're powerless. Welcome to the city of Hadriel, where fear and hope battle to manipulate you. Enjoy your stay, and do your best to avoid dying. It makes such a mess.

hadriel is a medium paced horror/choose-your-own-outcome game with an overarching plot arc that characters can alter and effect. The majority of the events are jamjar-esque, which are put on by the various gods designed to make your character feel specific emotions. These emotions give the gods power to further expand the city and establish themselves against the other gods, which then will result in plot events occurring. Look out, though- not everything is quite black and white here, and it's unwise to make such heavy decisions without knowing the full story.

Initially, the two gods in the city are Fear and Hope, each of whom have different types of events to pull fear and hope from your characters. While Fear uses the power he gains to oppose Hope and continue to terrorize the player characters, Hope is attempting to gain power to revive the dead gods. As the game progresses, Hope will give the player characters the ability to choose between which gods will be revived; these gods will later initiate events of their own, make alliances, have feuds, and reveal more about the setting and what caused them to die in the first place.

North High is a panfandom jamjar horror game based on games such as Corpse Party, but based in an American high school. Characters wake up in a school gymnasium after dark, with very little of the school available for exploration at first.

Everybody wants to be a rockstar.

Or, at least, you think you did. That would make sense, since that's what you are now. You're a star. But in truth, everything past a few months ago is a big blur. You remember this planet, these people, but the memories are empty of all connection. The band, the music, is your life now - and as far as you can recall, that's how it's always been.

What you don't remember is that you're not from here. What you don't know is that music has power. What you'd never guess is that you were stolen from your old life by aliens, and have been brainwashed into spending your days rocking hard on stage while never questioning a thing.

Interstellar show business: it's tough.

Interstellar is the panfandom roleplaying game inspired by Interstella 5555, where characters of the multiverse have been kidnapped and brainwashed into being rockstars by the interdimensional beings that also happen to own their record labels.

It's a memory loss game with fast regains and defined plot arc that comes in two parts: the struggle of musical abductees trying to find themselves, and then the journey of the friends, cast mates, and altruistic souls that come to save them from their tyrannical alien managers. It is expected to run for 8-10 months.
