It happens suddenly.
One moment, you're wide awake and in the next, you aren't sure. Everything is dark until you see a warm and familiar glow. As you move towards the light, you will see it is a bird. It flies ahead, urging you to follow so you do. Soon, you are joined by another, by ten, and then thousands more. The birds fly in the same direction, guiding you along with them, and towards a greater light.
You stumble down a set of stairs and land on the ground. The sun shines down on you and the sound of running water greets you. There are footsteps and a woman's voice asks you if you are hurt. If you look up, you will see she is no ordinary woman. Adorned in a pointed hat and dignified robes, she will tell you she is a magician if you question her appearance.
Take in your surroundings. Behind you, a glowing gate is affixed to a large fountain structure. The magician will tell you it is called a dungeon and in front of you, she motion towards a grand building. Welcome to Magnoshutatt Academy, the alma mater of many a legendary magician.
Now, you have no idea how or why you're here and the average magician certainly doesn't know either. However, if you want answers and a place to stay, why not enroll in the academy? "After all," The magician continues, "You are a magician, aren't you?"
As you answer, a glowing bird flies by.
Rukh Gate is a panfandom fantasy school jamjar RP based on the manga Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic. It has NPC interaction and an overarching plot surrounding the circumstances of Magnoshutatt. Characters are brought to Magnoshutatt Academy through the gate of the new dungeon Marid and given free food and lodging by the government on the condition that they enroll in the Academy and study magic. As the plot progresses, they will be able to travel to various lands, clear dungeons, and uncover the secrets of Marid, Magi and this peculiar magician's country.

Welcome to Asphodel, the idyllic little purgatory for many a wayward soul. If your muse has wandered into this town, they're in for an odd eternity. That fairy tale background of theirs? That epic journey they had? The lovely happy ending they reached? All gone. Anyone who comes into this town thinks they've always lived there, and get local memories to match. And the replacement backgrounds they get are never too pleasant. Be it a vice they can't shake, a dream forever unsatisfied, or a lack of any lasting relationships, no one seems truly happy.That is, unless they're one of the lucky few to discover the truth.
They might be strangers now, but spotting a formerly familiar face will still catch the eye and spark strange feelings. Precious possessions are scattered throughout the town, like little clues, unimpressive to anyone but their former owners. If they can stumble across just a few, recapture who they used to be, something might just click. No one's ever managed a full memory recovery – yet – but just a few hints might explain that constant sense of living the wrong life.
But will knowing they're stuck mean they can get out?

Asphodel Meadows is an open, literate RP based on elements from Once Upon a Time, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Higurashi: When They Cry, and Greek mythology. Upon their deaths, characters are trapped as game pieces in a model village in purgatory, living new, unhappy lives as NPCs until their memories begin to return. Sorry to be the one to let you know, but if you're here, that means you're dead. This is the afterlife. If you don't act, you'll be erased. By who? Hm.. probably God, right?
Either way, you're definitely dead and that means a couple of things.
One: You can't die again, since you're already dead.
Two: If you just sit around and live like a normal person, you'll disappear.
Three: You might be missing some memories. Don't worry, it's natural after you die sometimes.
So knowing that kind of stuff, what are you going to do? Are you going to fight? Are you going to try to get erased as soon as you can? It's up to you. Whatever you choose, it won't change the fact that the one life you had is over now and this is your last chance to make up for it.

HAVEN
The buzzing of an alarm clock wakes you from an exceptionally heavy slumber, the light shining across your face suggests early morning, but that's where any similarity to a normal morning ends.
The bed is one of six in this unfamiliar room, and the others seem to be occupied by people just as confused as you. The view outside the window is of a desolate city - abandoned, falling into disrepair, eerily silent. A huge peeling billboard shows a smiling man and woman holding gas masks, and the slogan across the bottom says:
Haven is a plot-driven horror game. It is panfandom; open to canon characters, canon AUs (please see the FAQs for clarification), OCs and characters with previous game memories.
The characters wake up in an abandoned town called Haven, with no memory of how they got there. The town itself seems to be uninhabited... most of the time. Sometimes noises can be heard in the dark, or figures can be seen running down alleyways in the distance. And there's the feeling of being watched.
Haven will have monthly events, and more information can be found on the setting and premise pages.

According to Eden's Tree you are a fictional character; a product of someone else's imagination. Everyone you've known, all the places you have been, everything that you've done, is nothing more than another person's daydreams brought to life through art, film, literature or some other medium. That creation is offered up to you on the flat screen embedded to the wall across from a bolted down chair. Watch your movie, read your book, play your video game, peruse your comic. It will continue on loop for as long as you sit before it, soaking it in. It might even bring up fan-sites to see just how favored you are in your audience's eyes.
If this is too much for you to take in, don’t worry: there's water and crackers available on the counter and stools to sit on if you start to feel faint.
Just outside the facility's walls lies the rest of the world, the "real" world that you’ve been pulled into for whatever unknown reason, and it may not meet up to the standards you’d held it to before. A devastated landscape, empty and hollow with nothing but the wind stirring ash and dust through abandoned streets and lifeless buildings. You may at first believe yourself alone, but you’ll soon find you aren't so lucky.
It may start as a glimpse, a groan heard down some dark alleyway, or a shuffling just barely within hearing range, but you'll have very little time to ponder over it, considering once one appears, the horde is soon to follow. The shambling, walking dead, rotted and starving for the flesh of all that's left living on this barren wasteland - you. Along with the scarce pockets of survivors holed up here and there.
This is the reality you've been birthed into and you're not so fortunate to call this fictional, just another video game or horror movie to apply stereotypes and tropes to - this is a world ravaged by infection, depleted and on its last gasps of life. This is your reality, this is your wasteland, and while it's not much and it's far from ideal, it's completely free for you to make of it what you will. If, between the rampant infection, the severely limited supplies, and the ever pressing threat of the undead, you live long enough for that.
So good luck, young hopeful. Welcome to Earth.
Syndemic is a pan-fandom role playing game set in an ever-changing landscape tainted by the remnants of war and a persisting viral outbreak. The population has been reduced to a small amount of survivors and the ever-growing number of the shambling dead.
And you. You take on the role of a fictional character brought to life in this pit for reasons unknown. You will encounter crazy locals, zombie swarms, elements of survival-horror and just plain horror. Light-hearted character interaction is also welcome.
After all, you don't exist. So you might as well make the most of it.

Cape Kore (Now on Dreamwidth!)
Premise: Your character wakes up in a small, strange little town on a cape. There are empty docks, a lighthouse and only one road out. Some of the homes are lived in, others are abandoned. There is a communicator attached to your character's wrist. The communicators are the only programmable technology your character will find. Even the clocks are all analog. Everything in the town is old or low-tech. Kitchen appliances and washers have turn-dials, the televisions could easily be from the 80s and there isn't anything even remotely like a computer in sight.
There are cameras everywhere and no clue as to who is watching or how they are being constantly repaired. No one is even sure why they are here or where more food will come from when the current food is gone.

Cape Kore is a small, slow-paced game (3:1 OOC:IC ratio). There is an emphasis on survival with both horror and mystery elements. The metaplot is just starting to get going, so there is plenty of room for new players to get involved. We are looking to expand our smaller casts and for new ones, as well. We do accept OCs, as well, and have several lone canon warriors.

۞ Once Upon a Time... in a land far far away you had once been safe and sound tucked away in your own bed, in your own cozy home, and in your own world. Things made sense, or at least you could handle what had been thrown at you in your own world. As you closed your eyes to rest your head nothing seemed odd, nothing could possibly prepare you for what was about to happen. As you dreamt all you could remember was the laughter of a woman. It ran down your spine to grip your heart and squeeze. When you had awoken, you could tell right away something was... off. Something had happened you couldn't explain and that was out of your control. It was not your bed, it was not your home.
You awaken and find yourself in a different world where you are greeted by a gently smiling old man. His first words are,
You are safe now. Welcome to the kingdom of Ever After.
Safe? Yes, fortunately for you, you have been saved by our gracious and kind ruler, Queen Rhapsody, from being kidnapped and turned into a slave for the vile and vicious Queen Kerra. You were brought here to this world, to the grand Kingdom Ever After. Do not fear, traveler, she cannot reach you. And until you can be returned home, there is much to do in the kingdom.
However, rumors are abound in the kingdom. There’s talk of war between the kingdoms and something else. There are dark creatures in the woods that may be much closer than you think.

You can, of course, do things outside of all of this too, just mark your posts so we know and we're sure that people would be more than happy to run with whatever ideas might come up in the future. As a small warning though, we do allow violent and sexual themes for our players, so if these things are not to your taste, skim threads carefully. Now go forth and play!
For those interested in some background on the world itself, all play is based in a place called Michi no Sato in Jiten no Kuni (The village of Paths in the land of Time). The only Shinobi in this place are the ones the players bring, though the oddly calm way the villagers handle shinobi implies they've dealt with them before. They do take Naruto-verse currency, so anyone fortunate enough to bring money should be all set. Michi itself is set at the base of a cliff, and some of the houses are actually built into the cliff face itself. Anyone standing at the top of the cliff, if they have the misfortune of being weak to genjutsu, will see nothing but a never ending drop however, so watch your step. The weather is highly unpredictable, going from sunny skies to violent snowstorms with almost no warning, so keep an eye on the cues of the villagers! Good luck everyone, and enjoy your new home.

The Station
The Station is a panfandom, jamjar style science-fiction game set far into the future in a universe where all canons come together. The plot and certain information will be hidden from players and their characters until either the information is discovered through player interaction and missions or when the time is right. Each character will be given a unique scenario upon acceptance of their application of their waking situation when they appear at the Station.
We will be opening on January 19th. We have a test drive meme for those wanting to try out a character, a reservations list if you want to jump in on a character until you can get your app accepted! We ask you give us 3 days turn around on applications - we're only human after all! Applications are now considered open! We are not running on an app cycle until we feel we need to.

It's true, though. Whatever world you think you're from, that was just a dream world. The land of the Fae, some people call it. They've got a lot of dream worlds, apparently.
This is Iaceo, the Moon of Pleasure and Paradise. We've set up some communities here for the Returned. We get them in all the time. They were having some trouble adjusting to live on the planet, so after consideration this place was set up to receive all of the gentle folk that found their way out of that mess.
What's that? Oh, don't worry. You can go back if you really want to, except in the case where you were dead or dying back there. Afraid we can't help you then, you sort of ceased to exist there. What? I'm not quite sure how it works, but trust me, it's probably better you're here."
That's what the man said, but you're not quite so sure if the world you just came from was a dream. You have to wonder, though.
PER SPECULARIS is an action/adventure based, plot-drive game with some horror and slice of life elements. It is a place driven by discovery and exploration, and the world opens up as players complete tasks and find new places and discover new species. As they grow and develop, new powers are gifted them. They can strike out on their own or ally themselves with one of the many groups inhabiting the world.
The world is on a moon orbiting a large planet, with several cities and beautiful landscapes, as well as dotted with caves and unexplored forests and jungles. The creatures are strange beings that seem to shift and twist when one is not directly looking at them, and can disappear faster than a blink, as well as more familiar animals and monsters. It is as dangerous as it is beautiful, so should one venture out of the city, it's best to have company.
The main city, Moscato, is where most of the action is. It's overseen by a small government and houses the headquarters of the four main corporations working on Iaceo. Players are free to explore and live elsewhere, even maybe founding new towns.
Your character finds their way into Iaceo via the Portal in the Specularis. Their first trip here is free, but should they try to return, they'll find that all subsequent trips require a certain Toll. What that Toll requires is left entirely up to the girl running the Ticket Booth, and she isn't as much of a pushover as she seems. Players expand the world and plot through missions and jobs provided. Characters can live and work, or adventure, open shops, find amazing riches or experience the most unspeakable of horrors.
