I'd love to see Sherlock, Bones, or Boromir over at bigapplesauce! We've got the pace and AC you're looking for, and I'm sure Sherlock would be right at home as it's set in NYC.

As for the game, it's got a bit of an urban fantasy vibe, if only because the rift tends to spit out magic users and bestow strange powers upon new arrivals. The plot so far is that there's a rift over an AU modern-day Manhattan that sucks people in from various universes and spits them out, and the new arrivals try to adjust by either joining (or avoiding) the two big factions who have made it their mission to collect and look after the city's rifties.

AC is ten smut comments a month with the first month only needing gen. It's also slow to med pace at a 3:1 day ratio and I believe there are RE characters in there already.

HELLO. WOW. Allow me to tell you about luceti, which, despite its large size, tends to be medium-paced, and features a wee little Attack on Titan cast of just Jean and Marco right now. So of course we're just dying for any fellow 104th trainee corps graduates. (And while both of us are going from anime canon points, we're also entirely caught up with the manga too. Just so you know.)

The game is slice-of-life-y, but with fun things like a war going on in the background, in which characters can participate (and even have agency in) through drafts and special missions. Not to mention the regular experiments, which range from silly to drama-inducing. Basically, there's a lot to work with.

Face-to-face interaction is preferred over a game that has the vast majority of character interaction on some kind of network. I realize that this is probably a bit of a stretch, but I really am not that interested in a game that is super network heavy without ample opportunity to have mingle/open logs.

Sorry, I don't like posting cookie-cutter replies here, so I have to get a little creative sometimes.

But joking aside, Luceti is a large but medium-paced game featuring war and creepy-science-experiment elements against a slice-of-life backdrop. Backtag-friendly is legitimately this game's middle name. I apped this loser two months ago and I still have a few threads from his intro post going, and I've found that the vast majority of players in the game are happy to keep tagging older threads until satisfactory completion.

Network interaction and face-to-face time is incredibly balanced, in my experience. In fact, I would say that 90% of all posts tend to offer a combination of action options and voice/written communication options, so reliance on the network is definitely not absolute.

AC is painless, requiring 30 comments in the span of a month, split between a maximum of three threads. In my three years with the game, I've rarely had issue making the cut - and if you do come up short, all you have to do is talk with a mod to explain your situation, and they tend to be very understanding.

The game is journal-based, but don't let that be a turn-off. Because BAM, reading list, all right there. No need to go through the hassle of maintaining one for your character journal!

Right now, we have Jean and Marco, and while a Levi apped last month, the player disappeared without ever introing...so it's safe to say the spot is open for taking.

Hey, friend! Thanks for the recommendation. We had a look at Luceti, and it seems like a great game with a lot to do! Really glad to hear that back-tagging is a big thing, too, and AC seems pretty wonderful. I'm happy to see that there's a reading page as well, since I would probably get lost in a journal-based game otherwise. All good things!

We're going to deliberate a bit more, but we're very strongly considering joining you. Cora (Levi-mun) will have to ask a mod about previous Levi, I think, but that shouldn't be a hassle. Thank you again, and maybe we'll play together soon!

I actually spoke with the headmod earlier today because I'd been meaning to do so for a while, because while that player failed AC they weren't officially swept from the game like they should have been. So yes.

But I'm thrilled to hear a positive reaction!

Just out of curiosity, what canon point are you guys considering? Both Jean and Marco are taken from anime CPs, but Marco's player and I are both entirely caught up with the manga too.

Oh, that makes things easy then! No worries on that front.

We're both caught up with the manga, but haven't officially decided which canon point to play from... though Erwin will likely be from before uhhh recent developments. I'm pretty flexible but at this point I'm considering taking Levi from one of the more recent manga chapters, maybe.

So at this point I think it's safe to say that we'll most likely give it a shot!

By the way, I love your username for Jean, it's brilliant, hahaha.

"Recent developments"...ahahaha...ha. Ahem. Well, regardless of what you ultimately decide, it sounds like it will be interesting. Jean is from the very end of the anime, while Marco is from shortly pre-death.

Cool beans, cool beans. Just think of this as an opportunity for Levi and Erwin to have literal wings of freedom on their backs.

Actually icons would be awesome because I am so lazy and hate making/looking for icons (sobbing forever). Most of the ones I have so far I grabbed from an icon journal and they're primarily fanart anyway.

Anime crops would be perfect - although Levi has so few expressions I fear you wouldn't have to do much work, haha. Dunno if Commander Handsome Erwin will need any, he might be set.

But yeah if you would want to do some crops for me, that'd be wooonnnnnnnnnnderful (and I'd really owe you)! ♥
