I've read some of the Three Kingdoms but sometimes have trouble remembering who Zhang He would know, especially since he's from the Dyntasy universe.

It's a terrible username and I feel bad... a little.

I own the books but I haven't gotten anywhere in them yet, to be entirely honest. That said, I think you'd be fine playing along with DW5 canon, since that's what the rest of us are doing for DW7. Because there are a few differences, keeping the continuity separate works well.

We do this a lot for Samurai Warriors, for example. A while ago, we had a lot of SW2 and SW3 characters, so there were timeline inconsistencies there, as well as with the separate paths, even. So if you did want to app, playing from straight DW5 canon is cool!
