koei warriors @ amatomnes!

amatomnes is an 18+ sex game, however there is no requirement to do more than handwave that aspect of the game if you aren't comfortable with it. My goal with this ad is to try to generate some interest in apping into the Koei Warriors cast! We're always looking for new players to share our love of the Ancient Chinese and Japanese.

Dynasty Warriors: All of our current characters are from the newest version of the game, but we welcome all other versions of characters we're missing. The characters we have now include: Cai Wenji, Guan Suo, Jiang Wei, Lian Shi, Liu Shan, Sima Shi, Sima Zhao, Xiahou Ba, Wang Yuanji, Zhang Xing Cai, and Zhong Hui. We have a Sun Shang Xiang on reserve! We want everyone else!

Samurai Warriors: All of our current characters are from either Samurai Warriors 3, or SW Chronicles, but we welcome any and all versions of characters we're missing! Our current cast is: Takenaka Hanbei, Ina, Kuroda Kanbei, Naoe Kanetsugu, Kato Kiyomasa, Date Masamune, Fukushima Masanori, Ishida Mitsunari, Mori Motonari, Nouhime and Sanada Yukimura! We also have a Nene on reserve! We want everyone else ever!

(As a side note, we have a small Sengoku Basara cast for cross-canon shenanigans, consisting of Sanada Yukimura, Maeda Keiji and Maeda Toshiie. We have a reserve for Chousokabe Motochika as well! And we have a couple of Sengoku Otome reserves as well, for Takeda Shingen, Imagawa Yoshihiro and Oda Nobunaga..!)

Our cast is very welcoming and looking forward to seeing more people joining the game. Two of us have capture devices and are more than willing to give you a hand at getting high resolution screencaps for iconing purposes. We also have doujinshi scans hanging around as well! We're looking forward to meeting you!

paradisa is a medium- to fast-paced community-based panfandom game set in a magical castle that can grant you your greatest desires ... or worst nightmares. It's like a magical Big Brother, except with fewer David Bowie-penned tributes (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gH9WnSOISv0). Everyone loses something (http://paradisa.wikia.com/wiki/Losses) upon their arrival to the castle, and the world (http://paradisa.wikia.com/wiki/The_Castle%27s_Mysteries) changes seemingly at a whim.

The game allows for any kind of CR imaginable. You want crack? It's here! You want super-serious relationship angst? Also here! You want to do something with your life? Plot against your arch-enemy? Make new arch-enemies? Here, here, and also here! There is an over-arching, ongoing plot (coined "World Plot") that rears its ugly head periodically as well, in case you're into the whole, you know, saving the world thing.

At present, we have Ak/gito, Kaito, Kazu and Kururu, and there's beautiful potential awaiting any other character you could consider! How it happened is a subject of heated debate, but one solid fact remains: the Earth that was a home to all of humanity is gone. People lived, worked, and died. Nations rose and fell, as nations are wont to do. Time passed, things changed, and by the time the intelligence from a few galaxies away happened upon what was left it was already finished. The only substantial evidence left to piece together our story was what humanity had made: fiction.

After years of development and disaster, these aliens created the city of Taxon, a home for as close an approximation to life from Earth as they can manage. Placed safely in a large cavern on the inside of an abandoned moon, the project is a blend of archeology and highly advanced programming. With a few lines of code, buildings are built or restored. Plants can grow. Lives can be created. It's not a perfect or exact science; things go wrong often as the intelligence adjusts its methods and adapts new data.

Even so, most days it can be idyllic. Great care has been taken to make sure the characters can fully enjoy every possible comfort. As long as they perform there's really nothing to worry about...

Panfandom, medium-paced and journal-based, Mayfield is known for its stunningly in-depth events, friendly mods, and large playerbase. The pace picks up to 'fast' during events, but there are nice stretches of medium activity in the downtime, and player plots always seem to be met with enthusiasm.

It takes place in bland 50's American suburbia; characters are forced to live together in 'happy little nuclear families' and are stripped of their powers upon arrival, but can gain them back as time goes on. There's a complex overarching plot, and individual characters are often given 'clues' in threads with NPCs, which draws a lot of CR to you. Violence and death are common during events, but can be opted out of, and a killed character returns to life the next day.

CURRENT: Giles.

WANTED: Scoobies would be wonderful, and I'd kill for an Ethan, Jenny or Joyce, if there are even any out there. All canonpoints are welcome, too; Giles is post-'Gift'/pre-S6, but might be updated soon, to the cast's convenience.

Note that there's space in his house for someone to be slotted as his fake!wife or, if they're under eighteen, fake!kid – or you can have your character's housing randomized, which can be a good opportunity for CR right off the bat.

SUMMARY

Gargleblasted is a community-based, panfandom game! There are just under 350 members and the pace is medium to fast, depending on whether or not there is an event going on. It's more or less a sandbox game where you're welcome to play out almost anything you want, from happy and sparkly plots to sad tear-jerkers.

Despite the game's huge size, it's fairly easy to keep track of everything. It's actually possible not to look at the main community for a couple of days still stay on top of things.

Reservations close today, November 05, 2011. All reservations put in today will last until the end of the application cycle.

Applications will be processed on November 12, 2011. They are due at 11:59PM on Friday, November 11, 2011. Because the holiday season is approaching, applications will close after November 12th and will remain closed throughout December. They will re-open January 7th, 2012. Reservations will re-open two weeks prior on December 24th.

It's that place with wings! Rules | Taken Characters | Reserves | Applications

Luceti's a large, medium-paced jamjar game. The premise is simple; characters are 'kidnapped' from their homeworlds and placed on Luceti, a small village enclosed in a dome, on a foreign planet of the same name. This village seems like a veritable Eden at first glance, with rich, lush forests, sparkling rivers and lakes, sweet, clean air and majestic, towering mountains. Best of all, it's a place where every convenience is available en masse for free.

A pity such a place could never be a true Eden. Everything comes at a price. These characters have been given wings that serve as little more than an annoyance, and a barcode on their necks. They're now 'labrats', subject to experiments that range from the insane to the inane.
Characters come and go on the whims of their captors. Some are taken for personal experimentation, others disappear entirely. But the rabbithole goes deeper than that and everything is certainly not what it seems at first glance. But there's only one way to unravel the mysteries that is Luceti.

So, that said, I'm looking to expand a few casts I'm a part of, and you could very well join them!

☀A Victorian-esque, steampunk influenced city surrounded by horrifying magical fog that messes with a character's head.

☀Monthly opportunities for even the most tightlipped character to air their issues via broadcast dreams/thoughts/etc.
☀Nonpowered characters can gain mist-endowed powers upon arrival.
☀Minimal or no power-nerfing when aboveground in the city of Anatole, proper, but there is also...
☀An undercity filled with decadence and crime where no one has powers and...
☀The opportunity to import items, pets, etc from your canon into the game - there's even a place to import entire locations.
☀Community-based, but with voice mail for private threads, etc.
☀Generally two modplots per month, which vary in length from 2-3 days to a week or more, depending on the plot.
☀Game-wide player-run plots permitted (and encouraged!)
☀Two pieces of activity per month Activity (network posts, logs and long threads all count), with opportunities for saves if you need them.

planeocracy is an "inverse jamjar" in that there's a central area where most of the action takes place, but not only can characters return to their own worlds, but they can visit other worlds any time they want! All the characters work for an interdimensional organization devoted to protecting the various worlds in the multiverse and prevent them from merging with or destroying each other. Characters go on jobs to other worlds, and there's a little something for everyone. Not to mention plot -- so far the organization has had to save a world from erasure, been hit by a virus that shut everything down, been invaded, had to stop a theft spree carried out by Carmen Sandiego, save the population of a dying world, and launch a retaliatory strike at an enemy organization's hidden base. Thousands of years ago, before even Princess Celestia and Princess Luna were born, the forces of darkness and strife gathered in a place they called The Netherbarn, where they plotted to overthrow Equestria and claim it for their sinister desires. They were strong, and those they rallied to their cause were numerous. Their victory seemed assured, if not for 6 ponies and the magic power they discovered: The Elements of Harmony. Driving the hordes of the Netherbarn back to their realm, their magic sealed The Netherbarn away for all time, protecting Equestria from those that would threaten peace and friendship.

In time, Equestria continued to grow. Pony civilization expanded, and a new era of peace took hold. Cities began to pop up that thrive to this day: Fillydelphia. Cloudsdale. Ponyville. Manehattan. And, of course, Bridlewood.

Bridlewood is a vast city, home to ponies from around the world. It's a major hub for travel in Equestria; visitors come every day with new stories to tell and adventures to share. And with so many ponies coming through all the time, the city has only grown. Huge fields. Tall buildings. Ominous castles. You can find it all here. But you can also find something else, too. For you see, Bridlewood was constructed on top of the remains of the gate to the Netherbarn. And after all these years, the gate is weakening...

What will you do in this slice-of-life/fantasy adventure? Will you eke out a normal life in Bridlewood and worry about whether your souffle will rise and other G-rated life problems? Or wil you be a denizen of the Netherbarn and set out to inflict your evil on the entire world? How many pony puns can you fit inside a sentence? The choice is yours!

Luceti is a medium-large sized game filled with various different characters and canons. It's a general rated as medium paced game. Plots range anywhere from serious to fun. Characters are taken from their homes and brought to Luceti. They often are forced to put up with periodical experimentation. Here they deal with other people from different worlds, and the Malnosso; the group that runs all of the experiments and maintains the setting.

There's no promised way to get back on your own, and you are willed to help. (But otherwise enjoy your new accommodation.)

zodion is an sex-game based on the western zodiac where after four weeks you need to choose someone to have sex with (like starry sky, amirite). but in all seriousness, the premise obviously has more depth than that. your character is transported onto zodion where they are branded with a tattoo of their star sign. the tattoo acts as an 'encouraging' reminder from the Twelve, the deities of zodion, to initiate in worship (read: sex) in order for their planet to flourish. if your character doesn't worship in the four-week time frame then the character will be forced to comply as the tattoo releases an aphrodisiac into their bloodstream. but you don't have to write out the smut if you're uncomfortable with that aspect, and fading-to-black/handwaving is always an option! furthermore, zodion has an ongoing plot with slice-of-life aspects that'll be sure to keep you entertained. if your character is ambitious enough they can even open their own business! oh and plus, upon their arrival to z, characters will be given powers based on the elements of their signs so that they aren't completely useless.

Long ago, people lived in peace, bathed in the warmth of light.
Everyone loved the light.
Then people began to fight over it.
They wanted the light for themselves.
And darkness was born in their hearts.
The darkness spread, swallowing the light and many people's hearts.
It covered everything, and the world disappeared.

A long time ago, there were no barriers between worlds. They could freely interact with each other, and people traveled between them as they pleased. The realm of darkness was separated from the realm of light, only mingling in small amounts. And watching over that separation were the Trinity Knights—those who wielded mysterious and magical weapons called Keyblades. And those special people who could wield these weapons, numerous in number, were growing concerned.

Mysterious creatures had begun to appear, with yellow cat-like eyes and blood as black as pitch. They were ravenous, and with their presence growing, the veil between the dark and the light began to contort and twist until tears appeared. It was a concern, one that the Grand Masters of the Knights began to cover up. But that doesn’t mean people are easily misled and didn’t notice something was wrong. While the Keyblades try to delicately take care of the new creatures, the people are beginning to catch on and organize their own efforts.

And then there are the whispers amongst the ranks of the Keyblades themselves, tales of an ancient and powerful secret kept hidden from even them by their leaders. The seeds of distrust are sown. Could it be that there is a war in the future of the Knights? And if so… Which side would you be on?

United Worlds is a panfandom Kingdom Hearts-based alternate universe game placed just before the Keyblade War with a large world to play in. It has an overarching plot and eventual endgame planned for the very distant future. It offers both slice-of-life and deep plot, and welcomes players plots alongside the game plot. There is something for everyone to do, and ways for everyone to contribute, even without having a Keyblade.

soul_campaign is a medium to fast paced panfandom game, set in the universe of Soul Eater. You do not need to know the Soul Eater canon to play at this game.

soul_campaign is set in the universe of the Soul Eater series but, like me, you don't actually have to know anything about it to play. There are very good explanations and links in the FAQ and lots of people around to answer any questions you may have. The characters have been sent to Death City, Nevada and have become either a Weapon or a Meister (someone who can wield a Weapon). There is an on-going plot in which the characters can't willingly be returned to their own worlds until a war against the witches is over. I can answer any questions (based on my in-game experiences at least XD;) if you want to ask something!

Counted Stars is a slow-to-medium-paced (the speed tends to pick up with the plot) jamjar game that takes place in the universe of the popular sci-fi franchise Star Wars. In-depth knowledge of the universe is not necessary to enjoy the game. There are plenty of players who know lots about the expanded universe and are happy to provide details about it when necessary; most players only know basic information from the movies, even though the game technically takes place in the world of the video game Knights of the Old Republic.

It has an overarching plot that is well-communicated and unfolds gradually for the players to get involved in. There are multiple planets available for visit, so there's always something for characters to get involved in -- from the shady-ass Hutt planet of Nar Shadaa, the main city-planet of Coruscant with a Jedi Temple, and the vacation ocean-planet of Mon Calamari that just opened up, there's always something to do.

The game requires any combination of TWO of the following: one post, one log tag, or one 5+ comment thread of activity per month, so it's very easy going as far as your activity commitment goes. The OOC environment is friendly, and the entire game is community-based. We welcome and encourage/facilitate player-based plots, and run in real time. IMPORTANT: Apps and reserves are usually always open, but currently closed due to plot events in the game! They will reopen on December 5.
