anemoi is a panfandom, community-based memory loss jamjar set in the city of Sirocco and the outlying wilderness. When characters show up, they remember nothing but their names, and are taken to a lab where they are made government employees and tasked with finding gems called anemoi to bring to them for processing. To further encourage finding anemoi, each anemoi processed restores a small portion of the finder's memories.
But where are these anemoi? Out in the wilderness. They won't be found close to the city, and the farther out one goes, the more dangerous the wilderness becomes. There are all sorts of monsters out there -- including monsters from worlds represented in the game. Characters are encouraged to band together to form parties to explore the wilderness, and trips can be handwaved or logged in the comm or on AIM.
And on that note, each character occasionally gets a regain. These regains can even be put towards bringing in world mechanics from characters' home worlds. So far, we have magic from both the Fire Emblem (Elibe) and Guilty Gear worlds, plus the Band system from Final Fantasy IV: The After Years, among other things.
