You've found a book. Where you've found it depends. The library? At the bottom of an old wooden trunk from an estate sale? Grandma's attic? The seat beside yours on the bus? It doesn't matter. What does matter is that something about it draws your attention. You pick it up and run a hand over its blue-dyed leather cover, trace the silver thorns embossed along the edges. The spine and cover bear no title, but it hardly matters. You take it home with you because you know it's just the kind of book you want, just what you need. And after all, you can return it later. Right? When you finally open the book, it falls open on an illustrated page. A detailed ink drawing of a solitary figure standing before a wall of thorns. Who is this person? A wizard in flowing robes? A knight in gleaming armor? A princess in a tattered gown? Or a wicked person, glorying in the thorns' presence? Like the book's location, it depends. As you look closely at the illustration, your sense of balance leaves you. You stagger, look down, and are met with a white void that soon surrounds you. The book snaps shut and disappears in a shower of sparks. You black out. When you come around, you're warm and safe, though your surroundings are unfamiliar. The old man on the wooden stool beside your bed seems to know your name, and says that you must have questions. After all, they all have questions.

Welcome to Es War Einmal Es War Einmal is a small panfandom game set in an idyllic (and stereotypical) fairy tale kingdom. People transported to the nameless kingdom are given roles and expected to fulfill them and carry out quests to defend the land when called upon to do so. sirenspull is a community-based, medium-pace panfandom game set in Magic Canada AKA the island city of Siren's Port. During the day, it's an urban metropolis where two mafia-esque companies run the show and residents deal with the effects of a "newcomer" population that isn't always welcome. After dark, when the sirens ring out, monsters and decay rule.

We are a slow to medium-paced game set in the wonderful world of Wonderland; a magical mansion and its surrounding gardens, forest and sea. Luministi is a panfandom sci-fi seasonal roleplay that will take place over a four-month period running from May 19th to about September 29th/October 13th. It is based around the mystery of the town and will involve a variety of situations for characters to overcome, events to work through, and puzzles to solve. A community-based game on Dreamwidth, Luministi runs in real-time and its events and outcome will be, in part, determined by the actions taken by the characters in it.

Throughout the run of Luministi, characters are trapped in the town and will be subjected to the whims of the many events that occur there. Premise: Imperial Saga is a quickly-growing AU game focused around political warfare and intrigue. The game is comprised of a number of Kingdoms and Factions organized and run by players, vying for power and status. The setting itself is high mythology and steampunk with high modularity, allowing players a great deal of freedom in crafting the AU and the setting itself so in most cases little variation from canon is particularly necessary.

Unique to Imperial Saga is the entire game is almost entirely player-controlled. While we are currently in the introductory stage where the Emperor is an NPC controlled by the mods, eventually, players will control all Kingdoms, Factions, the seat of the Emperor, and even the domains of the afterlives themselves. The game allows an unprecedented level of freedom for players to craft and mold the world to their will – so long as their schemes are not destroyed by other player characters, of course!

Beauty, strength, skills, power... For any number of reasons you might find yourself suddenly standing in the great hall of Meridian, with a sharp pain stinging somewhere on your body. Upon closer inspection, you find a mark inked upon your skin. It is no brand, but rather a permanent plea; for it is not ownership they seek—but your allegiance.

ZODION is a relatively fast paced, medium-sized, 18+ game based around the signs of the zodiac. It is a sex game and will feature adult themes. Your character is given a tattoo of their western zodiac sign upon arrival and the "twelve deities" who rule Zodion will expect them to "worship" (engage in sexual acts) at least once per month. If they don't, they won't die or anything! They might just start behaving a little oddly.

Sex is a central theme in the overarching plot of building Zodion into the fabulous land the Twelve desire. Many events will feature sexual themes, though several others will contribute to the world-building and story elements.

Our current cast consists of Edward Elric (Conqueror of Shamballa), Alphonse Elric (Brotherhood), Winry Rockbell (Manga), Riza Hawkeye (Manga), and Roy Mustang (Brotherhood/Manga).

EXSILIUM is a laid-back, mid-paced game with a friendly and welcoming OOC environment. Characters are tasked to work for the Initiative, a resistance group that means to change the world for the better by altering history. AC is easy, and backtagging is more than welcome! The game is very obscure canon and OC friendly: some of our biggest movers and shakers are OCs, and our obscure canons range from rare videogame characters to obscure tv series characters. Apps and reserves operate on a rotating schedule — when apps close for the week, reserves open the following week. The game is fairly plot heavy: one of the best aspects to the game is that your characters' actions during time travel events directly and indirectly affect future game events. There's downtime as well between events, so there's definitely opportunity for more slice-of-life stuff if that's what you're into.

It's been nearly two hundred years since the domes were built to protect the people of Verdana in their Great War against their sister planet, Antiqua. Not everyone was lucky enough to be chosen to live under the protective domes. Frequent bombing raids have reduced anything outside the domed cities to rubble. Billions of lives were lost outside the domes. Over the years the bombings became less frequent. To this day, no one from the outside is allowed within the domed cities for fear of spies and heretics. The area outside the great domed cities came to be known as the Outer Divide.

Over time, the survivors in the Outer Divide slowly began to band together and rebuild something of a society. The majority of Outer Inhabitants live within what they call the Old City. It's here that an ancient space ship crashed. From that ship new comers emerged that would change everything.

Holly Heights is a panfandom roleplay focusing on the simpler things in life. Rainstorms, street fairs, family outings. The only danger to you here is the possibility of a neighbourhood tussle or a minor fender bender going to the old grind stone. School dances and parades are more common here than murders and thefts. Events and memes are regular, though, to keep things spicy, though there is a large emphasis on familiar structure, CR, and the ability to make your own fun. adstringendum is a multi-fandom, fast/medium-paced, post-apocalyptic, comm-based game with an average of two, week-long events each month and about 180 players and characters who will love you to pieces. It's really probably one of the most friendly group of people I've personally played with. The pace can be a little fast, especially during events, but is typically about medium with more than enough love for back-tagging. Events varied from theme songs, rainbow sheep, everyone becoming mermaids, dinosaurs, death plagues and personality flips. Most recently, we've had the city change to emerald, making it as close to the city of Oz as possible!

Characters experience their 'canon' as a cyberspace delusion, and must reconcile that with their life on the Ark.

It takes AUs and multiples, original characters, fandom OCs, etc. Flexible and plotty, metaplot apparently involving the origins and purpose of the Ark, whatever force it is making people experience their canons, and the government of the Capitol, which might be up to nefarious things? IDK it's got a bunch of other stuff too.

I'm going to app Katniss here, because she's completely awful for jamjars. I'm looking forward to having a built-in reason for her to actually care about things in the game, and to be actively working towards a goal. She's going to be a street urchin and a poacher on the outskirts of the Twin City, which is basically an urban jungle.
