The 1920s. A time of financial prosperity and cultural change for America and the world. It was a unique period of history, with a style and flavor all its own, from the fashion to the slang to the very lifestyles people lived. The sell of alcohol had been outlawed across the country. For some, this was a triumph for morality. For others, a sad show of the government becoming to involved in its citizens' lives. And for a few enterprising individuals, the party was just beginning.
Welcome to 18th Amendment! An AU, log-based panfandom roleplaying game set in the Roaring Twenties, in the fictional town of Ameswell, Michigan. There's a lot for your character to see and do in the city, and not all of it is exactly legal. The game is freeform slice-of-life with no real overarching plot, and with lots of opportunity for player-run plots and occasional citywide mod events. The city is a sandbox, open to players to build and shape, as characters can open businesses, attend school, and help mold the culture of Ameswell.
The game will be accepting characters from all mediums, from the most popular to the obscure, as well as original characters. Not every page is quite finished yet (most noticeably the 1920s FAQ), but will be well in time for the game to open. The FAQ and Rules are ready and waiting for you to look over! Please feel free to fan
