SILENT HILL/BRING ME YOUR SURVIVAL-HORRORS @ ATARAXION

WELCOME ABOARD

ataraxion is a panfandom science-fiction/horror RPG set in a universe not so different from our own. The game is primarily a character-driven jamjar, with an overarching plot that will conceal story elements from both the player base and the PCs. Characters will arrive in-game on the Titan-class colonization ship Tranquility, waking from grav couches located in the ship's medbay. The ship (mysteriously bereft of all original crew members, save two) is heading towards a way home — a deep-space jump point known only as Ataraxia. From there, according to the captain, characters will be able to return to their universes.

Character death on the Tranquility is also a permanent effect, which tends to up the survival stakes. Player-driven plots are also heavily encouraged. I tend to think of it as a slow-build game. It seems like it's fast at times, but slow during others. It also helps that we've got plenty of backtag-friendly players. So overall, I consider it to be pretty medium-paced for what it's worth.

We've got a budding Silent Hill cast going on here (including yours truly), and we're always looking for more! Especially for characters from the early games.

Of course, any survival/horror video game characters, such as Dead Space, Resident Evil, Fatal Frame, et cetera would be most welcome as well! If you've got one on your roster and are interested, come have a look-see!
