Wishing Scales

You are drifting... drifting... drifting in a sea of darkness. Strange brightly-colored symbols float by you. You try to call out, but no sound passes your lips. You reach out, but no one takes your hand. You are suddenly and profoundly alone. In such a timeless landscape, the memory of light and hope will easily fade.

Then, abruptly, you return to the world. Or... To some world, at the very least.

Welcome to Clock Town, the once-bustling heart of Termina. Around the town lie four very different lands: the Goron Shrine and mountains of Snowhead to the north, Ikana Valley and the deserts of the Stone Towers to the east, Deku Palace and the swamps of Woodfall to the south, and Zora Hall nestled at the bottom of the deep waters of the Great Bay to the west. And for every land, there is a god, a guardian giant, and a Great Fairy.

[community profile] wishingscales is a panfandom AU- and OC-friendly Dreamwidth role-playing game set in the world of The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. Like a piece of driftwood captured by wayward tides, your character wakes up in a strange place far from home. There is a way to get back ... but you'll need the help of all the magic in Termina.

Current In-Game Events

When characters were first drawn into Termina, they were drawn to an active and full town trapped inside the walls because of a raging thunderstorm that was too dangerous to travel through and had been for weeks. Shortly after their sudden appearance in the town, the storm broke and stray fairies were scattered across the town. When all of the stray fairies were gathered together at the Fairy Fountain, they joined back together to become the Great Fairy of Magic. She did her best to answer what questions she could. However, during this something happened and one moment characters were at the fountain and the next they felt like they were walking out of a mental fog into a deserted Clock Town.

Only a handful of people who'd been brought to the Town through the storm remained. The gates of the town were once again closed and time seemed to pass at an incredibly fast rate. The sun rose and set, day and night began passing at three times the normal rate while the characters are left feeling as though no time has passed at all.

This is the situation any new characters will find themselves in once awakening in the town and it will not change until those left can figure out what has happened and fix it.
