Most children hear the stories a million times or listen to that crazy old man telling the legends. They dream of legendary adventures of knights and pirates, or the romance of princes and princesses. All it took was a wish on a star and they could be anything or anyone they wanted to be. But the cruel, harsh world decided that that wasn't in their destiny, so they had to abandon those dreams. The children forgot, and the fairy tales stayed in their world, undisturbed.

However, The Rulers of that same world became bored. They wanted something new, but didn't know how to go about it. Bring in new denizens, The Fool had said to them, and for many years, they ignored him. But the more time went on, the more the Emperor began to get restless. The World said that it would be a bad idea and advised The Emperor, but he imprisoned her and destroyed everything on the Island, and created a new world named Arcanarum.

Your character has been pulled from their world to become the replacement for various fairytale and folklore characters. The Rulers only see you as their play things, but you don't have to pay attention to them. You can fight, though it's doubtful you'll enjoy the outcome. The Arcana also love to play, but it's up to The Wheel to decide if you'll have good fortune, or bad.
