Wah, wah, wah.

If anyone crosses the line, leave me a note. The ban button needs love too.

This isn't crossing the line so much as me screwing up... Could you delete the anon comment here, please? Thank you!

Not a problem!

Have you considered having separate posts for ads and offers in the future? The meme the way it is now is really difficult to read though :(

Not the above anon, but I think what they meant is maybe consider a post for people making Offers ('reverse ads') and then a separate one for people advertising for already existing crews and games. That would make things easier to navigate.

Oh! Thought that might've been it. I've actually given that some thought but opted out of it... first off, because it would make it more difficult for me to keep track of the whole meme, especially if I have to do IP hunts. And secondly, because it would kiiiiiiiiiiind of, imo, 'shoot at business.' Enabling is a matter of momentary enthusiasm: you see everyone requesting chars from a specific canon, you realize omg someone plays it, so you put down your own offer comment for something from it. Plus, a lot of people who maybe weren't that thrilled by the idea of a specific crew mate (who were just commenting at the meme to make a request for some other fandom) might stumble on the offer of someone who explains his/her perspective so brilliantly, that they decide to give that person a go. Not what they'd planned to do that day, but slaves to persuasion, you know?

If you separate the two - offers and requests - a lot of people will only stick in one thread, thinking they're perfectly fine with their initial comment, and without realizing the riches in the other post.

To be honest, the one thing that would definitely make the meme easier to navigate would be an index system like the one I keep saying I'll put together:

FANDOM: [link to offer/request thread1], [link to offer/request thread 2], .... etc

But from experience, assembling those takes shiny, shiny ages, orz

Could you PLEASE crack down on people making reccs that go against what was asked (example: reccing a journal game when the offer said no journal games)? It's annoying.

I've PMed a couple of the main offenders I could ID about it - but I'm really savvy enough about every rp out there to know when a rec does or doesn't fit + I do skim over all comments, but I don't read them in detail.

tl;dr: please give me the usernames of some people you think are doing it (as opposed to just spamming with overwhelmingly many pimps of their com, which does meet the request), and I'll look into it.

A suggestion? Could there maybe be a thread for "small games"? Such as having 50 or less total comm members. I know many people deliberately seek out small games, and getting attention out there can be very difficult for a game with few players.

Actually, I was thinking about doing that for next time! We'll do a "new game" thread and a "small game" thread right beneath it.

But thank you for the suggestion and the reminder, because I probably would have forgotten.

I wouldn't say that you're being picky, but it doesn't seem to be causing any issues since people would need to click on it in order to listen and they can scroll right past it. HOWEVER, I'll take it under consideration if lots of people start using it and it starts to slow the pages up.

They've been messaged just now and I'll keep an eye on them. Thank you!
