One hundred years ago, the ambassador of Hell arrived on Earth and offered to share some of their knowledge with us. They loaned us an island and said they'd be back to collect it when the repayment period was over. Thanks to their assistance and our own ingenuity, humanity has progressed by leaps and bounds: mining asteroids, nanotechnology, robotics, memory modification, and more.

In six months, they take the island back.

Your character can be based on a fandom character, provided you strip them down to their concept and rebuild them to suit the world of YmA.

For example:
▿ Good Idea: After a disastrous mission to harvest an exocomet around 51-C Pegasi, Captain James T. Kirk has been recalled to the Grid Authority headquarters. He has a desperate need to go back into space and is willing to endure whatever corporate hoop-jumping he needs to in order to secure funding.

▿ Bad Idea: Captain James T. Kirk and his crew are on a six month shoreleave on YmA before returning to their five year voyage to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no RP character has gone before.
