It may start as a glimpse, a groan heard down some dark alleyway, or a shuffling just barely within hearing range, but you’ll have very little time to ponder over it, considering once one appears, the horde is soon to follow. The shambling, walking dead, rotted and starving for the flesh of all that’s left living on this barren wasteland - you. Along with the scarce pockets of survivors holed up here and there.

This is the reality you’ve been birthed into and you’re not so fortunate to call this fictional, just another video game or horror movie to apply stereotypes and tropes to - this is a world ravaged by infection, depleted and on its last gasps of life. This is your reality, this is your wasteland, and while it’s not much and it’s far from ideal, it’s completely free for you to make of it what you will. If, between the rampant infection, the severely limited supplies, and the ever pressing threat of the undead, you live long enough for that.

Syndemic is a panfandom RPG with only fifteen taken characters and a lot of zombies. Formerly "deadweight" but under new management, the game has risen from the dead and continues to follow the lives of a handful of survivors living in this wasteland of a world.

☣ pace is currently small and slow due to the small number of characters, but everyone plays around with everyone else and posts can acrue plenty of comments

☣ activity is twenty comments a month across at least four threads.

☣ wanted characters are literally everyone. currently there are casts for Death Note, Merlin, Teen Wolf, and Supernatural.

☣ plot has been thought out. though this game is focused on character arcs and development, there's not much room for "slice of life" amidst the horror: characters are forced to keep moving from city to city as more locations open up and the history of the world is revealed.

☣ development characters are initially told that they're fictional, and deprived of their weapons, armour, and supernatural powers (though there may be opportunities to get these back later in the game). bonding and devlopment becomes important as they scramble to scavenge through a ruined world and find a way to survive.
