I have heard a negative comments about the game in the past though, so what can you tell me of any recent changes that might make it run better? I know there are new mods. Are the biweekly events mandatory, or can players pick and choose to opt out to a point?

Honestly, I've loved everyone I've played with in our Avatar/AtLA cast. (I'm not in the cast, though I swear one of these days I'll put together that Iroh journal...) They're good people, and I know they'd love a Toph!

We do have a new modteam as of March, yes; in the spirit of full disclosure right back, I'm one of the new mods. Most of the biweekly events allow any player to opt-out if they want, although environment effects generally can't be avoided: for instance, events in the past have included apple trees or exploding balloons appearing throughout the city, or the electricity coming on everywhere for a week.
