Hellgate is set in modern-day New York City, but with supernatural creatures from myth and legend world-wide thrown in. It's mostly action-based, but there's plenty of opportunity for slice-of-life or other plot. Very friendly mod-team. Apps and reserves are open, gameplay starts July 1st.

I'd suggest
The pace is medium, I'd say. We get about 3-5 posts on the community each day and personally I backtag until two months and sometimes more! The pace picks up during plots, but even those are super backtag friendly.
The overarching plot now is basically finding out more about the Castle through expeditions. Past ones have discovered other castles similar to Paradisa that have decayed for mysterious reasons, and then there are past residents of those castles that aren't the friendliest. But no one knows why, yet!

I'll take a look at it! The giving up something sounds like it would be a fun thing to play out. Though I'm kinda holding off on apping till either the anime finishes or there's a few more chps of the manga out. (considering what's going on in the latest arc...)

And yeah, take as much time as you need. I just had to bother you because YMIR, WANT. And the losses will be fun! The castle also randomly gives people temporary losses, like I've had my other characters lose all inhibition, can't lie, get stuck in a room with another person. Maybe even Ymir can get stuck in her Titan form, anything the mun wishes ;)

Also, no promises, but I absolutely LOVE AoT and may end up apping Sasha or Christa at some point in the future, after more of the anime is out.

Quick-facts about the game:
Setting: Soul Campaign is a game set in the world of Soul Eater, where the centuries old cold war between the forces of Shibusen and the Witches has broken into one of its hot phases once more as the Witches are bidding for a final victory in a ruthless no-holds-barred fight. You can find more info in it here!
The characters are brought in as either Weapons (people with the ability to turn into weapons) or Meisters (those who can use the Weapons) and no prior knowledge of Soul Eater is necessary! Canon powers will be adapted into setting-adequate abilities instead.
The mood of the game is a cross between silly-macabre and a war-theme (think A Nightmare Before Christmas meeting a war movie), where player plots are often used to provide the lighter share of the setting while the meta-plot keeps advancing the darker aspects of the game.
Although most of the action happens in Death City, aka. Shibusen’s home base, the world of the game is open for exploring, either through NPC-provided missions that have a chance of influencing the meta-plot of the game or through any trips your character wants to do by themselves. :) Seriously, we had a couple of characters run off to a long weekend in Vegas before.
It’s pace is slow-to-medium with a rough 3:1 day ratio, the playerbase is generally really chill and backtag happy and the mod-team is always open to new ideas and player plots!
