Well, yes, but they've also thought running SHIELD was a good idea, fallen in love with Pepper, and I won't even mention the animated ones.

Very well; most of their more questionable choices were made while sober and outside the suit, but the point stands.

You say that as though I don't know already. I happen to have a fine appreciation for those whose craft is built upon generations of fine-tuning, as well as a strong understanding of the underlying chemistry.
