route_29 is journal-based and very welcoming, with moderate pacing but easily attainable activity requirements. Apps are checked the first and third weekend of the month, with mod warnings if they are late. It takes place in Johto/Kanto and follow the rules of the Generation IV/V games, but no prior knowledge of Pokémon is required. It offers a complete list of reference links for those who need them, and the FAQ is very active if you have any questions.
