The events are mostly to give players IC opportunities to engage in kinks their characters might not otherwise indulge in.
Past events have included colored waters with varying effects ranging from sex change to increased aggression, chip glitches resulting in sensory deprivation combined with sensory overlap with another character's chip, cloning for the purpose of snuff (or just self-cest/threesomes), nanotech used to give characters animal characteristics, and this month was a toy fair to encourage the use of sex toys.

The next three upcoming events will expand a little on the game meta, but haven't been revealed to the players yet. Event information is usually posted with enough time to give players a minimum of a week to plan CR, think of ways to make use of the setting, etc. before the event actually begins.
