HI THERE. I play Kallie, AKA Lightning, and am also one of the mods- so I can answer any questions you have! What sort of things about the gameplay are you curious about?

Basic rundown is: characters are normal people except for what 'Echoes' give them out of their past lives, and are free to do pretty much what they want in the setting - there's not really much of a 'jamjar' quality to it, given PCs can come and go anywhere they please-- at the expense of their powers/certain memories/etc. should they go too far from the city. Contact with the Network can be made with practically anything, spanning from computers and cell phones to pieces of paper to troughs of water... but characters don't have to be all that involved if that's more in their personality.

However, for the activity check, you do have to have threads with four different characters per month. There's only one IC comm, which is used for everything save for the occasional private thread players sometimes take to characters' individual contact posts instead. Number of posts per day varies depending on what's going on, but is usually somewhere between 3-10; while many of them might be private posts, there's still an "open" tag that can help find things to jump into.

Both prose and 'action tags' are allowed and encouraged, and there's a wide range of tagging speeds I've noticed- anywhere from boomeranging to once per day or so. The diversity in characters and what they do in their 'real lives' is pretty wide. There's quite a bit of meta given some of the characters are fans of this or that (although straight fourth-walling isn't allowed), or have jobs that are... you know, things in real life.

UHHH and that's all I can think to mention right off the top of my head! Like I said, feel free to ask whatever, though. Needless to say, we'd LOVE to see Caius and/or Yeul. :)

The fact that the network can use anything sounds like a lot of fun and something that I can get into. Oh, can Oracle Drives be used? This is more significant to Yeul than to Caius but he does use them from time to time to preserve messages. Since Caius can pretty much do quite a bit and phase through time itself, I wonder how that's going to work in the setting. If he can, that's also interesting. (I'm guessing that he won't be able to travel timelines and probably suffer some feedback for making the attempt.)

Traveling outside the city is definitely something that I think he'll try to do. He's pretty prose heavy so I'm glad that it's encouraged. I'll look further into this and talk with my Yeul partner and see what she thinks. :D

The other question I have is about his powers. I'm sure you're quite familiar with them. What will have to be nerfed so I know what to expect. (He still carries a lot of a hero complex even though time and bitterness has corrupted him.) It may take some convincing on either side of the spectrum but I think the setting is doable for him should he be brought into the game alone.

Ah... well, characters aren't right out of canon in this game- they're reincarnations and just normal people who haven't known anything but more or less normal lives... until something triggers their first Echo or they otherwise start running into supernatural trouble with other characters/NPCs or events caused by them. Therefore, any powers/abilities/items/strange physical characteristics they might get have to be gradually brought back. For example, the stuff Kallie has so far can be seen listed here.

You're right about time travel most likely being restricted, though- FFXIII-style shenanigans would require a lot to be Echoed back for that, anyway. :P For Oracle Drives, it's... possible that maybe Yeul could regain the ability to make them? Alternatively, specific Oracle Drives that exist in canon could perhaps be brought back, with the 'recording' they held then. The system's pretty flexible, and highly dependent on what the characters run into and what you want them to get as a result.

Wow, now that is really interesting. Caius will have a lot to regain. It might actually make him a bit more human and a lot less crazy. Okay, this has me very interested. This could take a great deal of time before he even regains who he really is and I'm looking forward to this!

And hahaha, yeah. A big theme of the game is having a conflict over who they've always been and known themselves as, versus who they used to be- someone they really only know of through out of context memories and the like.

Plus, aliens and their allies trying to kill them and/or take over the world, too. There's that.
