looking to place one Eren Jaeger/Yeager of Attack on Titan/Shingeki no Kyojin (manga compliant, even if I like me some anime icons)

preferences are as follows

— DW only, please
— Castmates are cool but not at all required. (In fact, small/nonexistent casts might be better, because odds are I will probably be apping in with a few assorted castmates depending on the game and the circumstances!)
— Pace is pretty negotiable. Somewhere vague between "not blindingly fast but not crazy slow." I do lean way more to log tags than commentspam/network stuff, so an active log comm or an emphasis on face to face interaction is a plus.
— Plotty, action oriented, something to keep him busy. I've got a soft spot for horror games, but I'll give absolutely anything that doesn't lean too far to slice of life a look.

— No sex-focused games/strictly slice of life games/crack games.
— Not too hot on aus/memory loss for him but I can sort of take or leave them on a case by case basis. In those cases, though, I do prefer something where canon memories can/will be regained over time

That's about it! I know he's a pretty popularly played character right now, and I'm having a really hard time finding a place I'm into where he's free, so any and all suggestions would be helpful while I try to sort out what my options are.

Hello friend, would you be interested in luceti?

We're journal-based, with the pace roughly described as "medium" depending on whether it's event time or not. While the characters can use magical journals for communication (it's got voice, video and written functions), we're also very prone to using action brackets for face-to-face interactions and our log community gets plenty of use!

Right now we've got Marco, Jean, Erwin and Levi, with a possible Armin on reserve. Also, we've got a test drive community at trainingwings, in case you just wanna try the setting out. Heck, there's a fourth wall event going on this weekend, so you can jump right in if you'd like!

I'm going to be honest and admit I'm a little bit leery of journal-based, (I tried it once before like...a long time ago and never really got the hang of it, but I'd probably be up to manning up and trying it again one day.)

BUT I DIGRESS it's time to ask you a bunch of dumb questions, what's the general gist of the game like? Like, gamewide plots and such, recent events, etc? This is so vague I'm sorry, all I really know about Luceti is that there are wings involved.

To address your concerns re: journal-based, allow me to show you this! Every character in the game, all right there in one convenient place, without any need to maintain a constantly shifting reading list on your character journal. I know I'm too lazy for that! And then you can use your personal reading list for just the ooc/logs/etc. comms, since those are eternal.

As for the gist of the game... I would say it combines slice-of-life elements with an overarching plot that revolves around the mysteries of the Malnosso organization that controls the setting in which game characters live. There's a war going on in the background, in which characters are called to battle on a somewhat regular basis; characters may also sign up for special missions.

In the meantime, the Malnosso regularly perform "experiments" on the residents of the enclosure, which range from silly to serious. Recent experiments include the now traditional "mistletoe" experiment around Christmastime (which I'm sure needs minimal explanation), and a Halloween event that included a gamewide trip to an amusement park on the moon...with the less pleasant side effect of being imbued with various player-chosen fears/phobias for the duration of the event.

I will be up front about this: the game is in a bit of a transitional phase, with two major mods having dropped a few months back due to a lack of time/interest. So things have been on the slow side as far as plot is concerned. Think of it as a period of hibernation while the mods rebuild and figure out where to go from here. However, I'm confident that things will get rolling again soon enough, and in the meantime I've had no shortage of things to do in-game.

But no, that helps, thank you! I swear I'm not a lazy bum who can't read info pages, I just like being nosy at people. I tend to lose steam quick in games that get too slice-of-lifey, so having things to do is important to me in a game search...War stuff sounds promising, though!

And I appreciate you being upfront about the state of the game, (I managed to decide to app into Exsilium just in time for it to announce endgame a month later, sobs into hands...) I'll be honest right back and admit that there's a vague half dozen or so of us sort of shopping for a place to maybe katamari into a game together as a cast, (your Levi hit up our Bertl over on page 5) which we know is a bit of a tall (ha) order so I'll be conferring and weighing my options and stuff with the others before making any decisions. I'll definitely creep on some threads take a closer look, though!

No seriously though, hi. I see Jean's mun already fielded some questions while I was deep in slumberland. Being a player in both journal-based and comm-based games, I can understand why most people prefer comm-based. Still, if you keep your friends list up to date (and we have a lovely list for that), the only thing that really ends up being different from comm-based is the lack of character tags. ...Well, that and your journal gets kind of cluttered with your character's entries, but it's a thing that I kind of enjoy at the same time because it means you can find your own entries again real easy.

So, yeah, I definitely hope you guys will keep the game into consideration!

I'm not sure how you'd feel about playing with someone who is more anime based, but I do play Mikasa at krimmenos and would really love an Eren to play off of! The pace is actually not really that accurate based on posts. They don't really go up that often as of yet (it's still a fairly new game) but people have very different tagging speeds. Most are more on the medium side but some are slower.

The game itself is plotty, the current event requires characters to solve riddles in order to regain memories that they've lost. Mikasa's was actually her memory of Eren which means she has this giant hole in her memories haha There's also a lot of interaction with NPC's as well, both over networks and in person. There hasn't been too much use of the logs community yet, but I do love logs personally. If you have any other questions I can try to answer! Good luck with your search!

nah, the anime/manga divide isn't really a big thing, tbh I probably smush them together plenty I just specify because the last episode or so deviates more on a few things plot/characterwise...

But oh no Mikasa. 8( WOW THAT...actually makes me really sad... Looks like it might be a bit small/slow for my tastes at first glance, but I'll have a look around!

I do some smushing as well myself, but yeah there is a bit of deviation there.

Doing sad things to my characters is a favorite hobby of mine. It's pretty awful though and it's been frustrating while the plots gone on for her since there are all these gaps in her memory and she doesn't have anyone she'd actually express her frustration with. Not that she ever expresses her frustration really. Attack on Titan is secretly attack on expressing any emotions in healthy ways

But yeah, it definitely is a very small/slow game, posts are slower to go up but tagging speeds can be much more on the medium side with some players and on the slow side with others. Personally, I tend to like trying out new small games now and then because if nobody really gives them a try they can't get a chance to grow, but I definitely understand it not being everyone's thing.
