Totally AU games, you say? Newer games are fine? How about checking out The Gospels? It's an Assassin's Creed-based fully AU game set in near-future Vancouver/Seattle. Though there is technically some memory loss, it only kicks in if characters die, and can therefore be avoided if players choose. The plot can be...sort of summed up by way of "ancient, vengeful goddess tries to make humanity her slaves...again" but the ultimate outcome will necessarily be heavily determined by player action.
