Hey there! Just going off of your settings, I wanted to rec asgardeventide. It's comm-based and neither AU nor memory loss, though it does feature an easy power loss/replacement system. It's very backtag-friendly with a 2:1 OOC:IC day ratio, though the game itself is pretty large -- we're at just about 300 characters at last count.

Unfortunately, there isn't a current Final Fantasy cast, VII or otherwise, but the OOC atmosphere of the game is incredibly friendly and cross canon CR is incredibly easy and fun to build. AC is 30 comments a month spread across at least three posts, and IC contact posts count in that sum.

Here's the basic premise, and here is the no-obligations test drive for the month, in case you're interested in getting a feel for how Rufus might mesh with the game setting or some of the other characters. I'd personally love to see you there -- FFVII is one of my favorite canons, period, and I think Rufus could be a lot of fun there.
