Villains wanted for Team Rocket @ ROUTE 29!

[personal profile] ortion 2014-02-23 12:49 am (UTC)(link)
How cool would it be to let your character live out a great Pokemon adventure in Johto and Kanto? In [community profile] route_29, characters wake up in a mysterious new world with a Pokemon partner at their side and are sent on their way by "Mom" to collect Pokemon, win badges, breed their Pokemon, and make friends in the wonderful world of Pokemon!

But let's face it, for some characters that's just way too boring. They're a villain, and doing nefarious things is their style. Mugging people and stealing things, blowing up important landmarks, running scams at the casino, antagonizing the goody-two-shoes out there, or even performing immoral experiments...now that's more like it! So how would they ever get their fix in a world full of cutesy creatures? Well, glad you asked!

That's where Team Rocket comes in. Besides being a trainer or breeder, there's a third option for your character. Instead of waking up at "Mom"'s house in New Bark Town, characters can also wake up in the Goldenrod City Team Rocket base, where they'll go through training to be a top notch Rocketeer, and can then set out to do whatever their heart desires. If they're the mad scientist type, they'll be hooked up with all sorts of fun equipment to play with in the Science Department, and they'll even have equally insane coworkers! If they're a general thief, mobster, megalomaniac main antagonist, etc., there's plenty for them to do if they take up missions or if they want to take things into their own hands. We all love Rocket player plots! There's even an anti-Rocket group out and about for you to bounce your villains off of if you like that dynamic.

We'll frequently have poor unfortunate misguided souls ending up in Team Rocket too, so if you'd like to play the angle of your character unwillingly being part of an organized crime syndicate, there's that too!

If any of that interests you, you should definitely check out [community profile] route_29! We'd definitely love to have more Team Rocket peeps around. Route 29 is journal-based, medium-sized, and I'll say medium-paced most of the time, maybe a little faster during an event. As I said above, characters wake up as either a trainer, breeder, or Team Rocket grunt with their very own starter Pokemon. The perk for being a Rocket is you get two starters, among other things. You can read more about TR and its perks, along with other general game mechanics here on the FAQ. There's a Rocket community here, where you can see the current members.

Reserves are always open, and applications are checked every first and third weekend of the month!

If you have any questions or comments, feel free to comment! I'll do my best to answer them.
