App Timeline Query!

Just a question, mods, but since your current number of players is so low, why not open up applications immediately and indefinitely until you have enough people to really get some momentum going? 8|a I'm interested in this game, but it definitely looks like you need some more players in there to start building a proper community and attract fresh blood. I understand you probably have schedules and workloads of your own to manage, but from the looks of your reserve page (and considering the reserves are mandatory) I don't think you'd get too overloaded very quickly and you can always cap the Applications acceptance when you get your first 15-25 people or so.

We really appreciate the interest, truly! However due to the nature of how we introduce characters to the game in pairs or more, it would be unfair of us to approve a character's application and then immediately ask the player to wait on the off chance that another character applies in the near future. Even then, we feel that having several options for match-ups in this way, i.e. the entire applicant pool, is far more appealing than absolutely requiring the next applicant be that Foundling.

More to the point of the IRL side of things, there are only two moderators, and we both have jobs and other obligations. Having applications only open once a month gives a specific time for us to prepare our schedules to devote completely to processing applications and starting up new Foundling logs.

Basically, we would rather process applications quickly once a month rather than slowly on a more continuous basis.
