somnambulists is a new game with reserves open now; we're scheduled to open April 10th. We're expecting the game to be medium-paced. We are very definitely going for a heavy plot focus, and we really want to encourage player involvement too; player plots are very welcome and characters can definitely have an impact on the plot and the setting. We also plan to make sure that things never get too easy for the characters to stave off the characters falling into heavy slice-of-life mode.

Death is very much encouraged in this game really! While it's not strictly a horror game, we do have a number of horror elements in play, so if players want to mess around with darker or disturbing game elements in their plots they're welcome to do so. We also have a fun game mechanic involving death: when a character dies, their corpse comes back to life as what we call a Nightmare Shade, which is like a nightmare monster version of that character. Every time a character dies, their shade gets stronger, and it's not going to like them very much on top of that... :)

As for Evangeline's lyrium addiction, how you'd want to handle her addiction is up to you; you have the option of having it reduced or removed entirely within the game world, or you could alternatively use it as a plotting opportunity. There are NPCs that deal in rare items who could possibly have it on offer, but she might have to do something for them in exchange rather than simply having it easily purchasable.

I'd say it's on average at about 2-4 posts per day, judging from the last few months of activity. And, regarding keeping up, it depends on what you want to do with your characters in Haven! Event stuff you'd want to check out once a day at least (the mod staff is incredibly prompt with times, so you can coordinate checking up that way), but normal day to day stuff I'd say once a few days is plenty to be very active.

The biggest difficulty that people have (myself included) is simply the amount of characters in this game. You would not be able to tag 'em all, so you'll have to kinda pick and choose your CR and people you want to tag vs trying to not overwhelm yourself!

Another common difficulty that I've heard people express is that it's a bit difficult to get into the game's plot, and if you're not around during event time for a few days then yes you can definitely miss out. However again the mod is super prompt and schedules when events go, so if make yourself largely available during event week I feel you'll be fine.

Other than that, the game is very open! The only limitations you'll face as a writer are with the setting; otherwise the game is very villain friendly, very player plot friendly. The mod's a gem and is worth every single bit of praise she gets and then some.

Oh my god. Lavinia originates from this fantastic short story crossover piece called Pride and Prometheus, in which an odd romance blossoms between Victor and the lonely Mary Bennet. In this AU with me and my Frankenstein, Mary runs off with Victor and they somehow have a baby who wants to kill the Creature herself. She and Q could definitely work something out. I originally wanted someone to play Quincy Harker for the most epic next-gen Dracula-Frankenstein team up. Due to PB confusion, she has also been shipped with Scott from Teen Wolf XD

OH MY GOODNESS. I'm so glad I decided to poke my head in here! I'm totally blushing. I haven't played Mary Morstan in ages and I haven't seen Sherlock s3 yet where she actually exists in canon XD

It's a horror game, fairly slow with a slight increase in pace around events, of which we have plenty. Characters are brought into the Greek Underworld to be punished for their crimes/sins.
