Offering up the following three for a window shopping spree!

First up, this lovely lady summoner, Yuna from Final Fantasy X. Yes, X!Yuna. Not X-2. What is this madness.

Secondly, the poor sap from simulation land. Yep, Roxas from Kingdom Hearts: "The 3rd Day" in specific.

And last but definitely not least, one of his counterparts, Xion. Usually take her from post-Days although lately I've been debating on bringing her in again on Day 256/7.

Game preferences include...

❂ 25-150 playerbase preferred
❂ Slow-medium pace, preferably with a backtag friendly vibe
❂ Relatively easy AC (ie. 1 post, 1 post + 5/10/15 comments within 2 threads; basically, as long as it's not 1 post + 30+ comments or 2 posts, I'm good)
❂ Decent mix of plot and downtime
❂ Wouldn't mind a small cast for the KH kids. Castmates optional for Yuna.
❂ Not really interested in sex or horror/survival games

Ohey, Jodie. How do you feel about journal-based games? I have a game that seems to meet most of your preferences. :o

And that's route_29, set in the Pokémon world. Characters arrive fresh from canon, are classed as trainers, breeders, or members of Team Rocket, and have the entire regions of Johto and Kanto to explore. There is a lot of downtime, but there are events to liven things up, in addition to player plots. Some of our Rockets really know how to amp things up.

Cast consists of Riku, Kairi, Sora, and Hayner. I know our Kairi-mun would kill for a Xion, and I'd personally love to bounce Riku off of a Roxas, since I play him from early KH1.

AC is pretty simple. They do require three proofs, but those proofs can be anything from three threads with five comments from you, a post + two threads, two posts + one thread, or three posts... But most people just stick to the first or second option. The pace is also very laid back nowadays. I've had a lot less RP time than I used to, and I find I can still keep up.

oO Oh, wow, it's been a long time since hearing from you, Mega. Like, five million years only not really.

That being said, I think the last journal game I've ever attempted was Vatheon and it just felt a bit too chaotic for me. So, journal-based games are usually a no go. Granted, I will say that the size of Route is actually a lot smaller than I thought it'd be (last I saw, its playerbase was huge), but I admit I'm iffy on Pokémon. The AC isn't bad though, yeah. And ironically, I actually know the Kairi who just apped in and I definitely know the Hayner, too. And, of course, you as well.

I'll give it some thought. Out of curiosity, what are the events like?

The events actually vary a lot. For example, our upcoming event is more of a social thing-- it's a big party thrown up in Tohjo Falls with opportunities to interact with NPCs such as gym leaders, Professor Sycamore, and Lance, just to name a few.

Last year, we had prehistoric Pokémon rise from the dead and cause chaos, characters getting pulled into a nightmare world where they dealt with an evil spiritn, and other events have included MISSINGNO. glitches, the Rockets using the legendaries to try and grant humans Pokémon abilities. This only lasted temporarily, but really shook things up, as they used those powers to lay siege to a number of cities.

I totally get that journal-based and Pokémon are a YMMV thing, though. I haven't had too much trouble, but maintaining an add list is a bit more work than just using a comm.

And finally getting back to you. Clearly, posting to ATP while you have a head cold is the best idea ever.

Actually, the variety of the events doesn't sound half bad. I wasn't sure if they got all serious business sometimes given what the game's based off, but I didn't want to just assume without asking, and I'm glad I didn't. That's actually pretty cool that they seem to kinda branch out and keep you on your toes.

I'm not actually planning on apping anywhere until the summer, but I'll think it over and keep tabs on it in the meantime. Thanks for the inform!

Hi there. 3step_paradise is a pretty slow/medium game and we allow backtagging all the time. Our playerbase is under 25 at the moment but we have around 35 characters in game at the moment. We try to keep a mix of plot and downtime and we have a big event coming next month that will help pick some things up.

Our AC is easy with requirements being 2 posts, 1 post and 8 comments in said post or another person's post, or 15 comments total in other people's posts.

Give it a look and I can answer any questions you might have. Roxas would have Sora as his sole castmate but a Riku may be apped in later by a friend.

I do like the size and the AC sounds relatively easy. Plots seem a little few and far between though. Is it because they're usually long-lasting (spanning two-three months)?

Usually yeah. We also haven't had many player plots as of late. We try to get plots lasting about a month if not longer. We mods are also looking to getting plots more active with the new plot coming up next month.

...anyway. XD Presented for your consideration: The Warehouse, a just-opening RP set in the Warehouse 13/Eureka universe. Since it's just starting the player base is a little smaller than your preference and I have no idea what the pace will be, but: Backtag-friendly, check; easy AC, check (one thread/month); opt-in meta plot and Artifact plots; not sex or horror-based.

(My one note if it makes a difference to you: The game's set up so that magic will work in-universe, but whether she'd still be able to summon may need to be bounced off the mods, seeing as how the fayth won't actually be there to summon from.)

Totally not seeing your bias there, nope. Not at all. ffff...

But huh... I've actually never seen this game before, but it looks interesting, actually. Almost this MiB kinda feel except artifacts and strange people being pulled from other universes that might or might not be aliens. ...Not just aliens. Have not yet seen Eureka Seven; forgive me.

Her not being able to summon wouldn't be an absolute killjoy either. I'll look into it.

Bias? What bias? I don't remember any bias. It's more that I know FFX better than KH; any of the three would be welcome.

The game's brand spanking new, actually. So shiny it opens for play on Tuesday. The base canon's a LOT of fun and will provide plenty of opportunities for mini-plots - basically, if there's something you want to put your characters through, there's an Artifact for that. No no, Eureka the TV show, used to be on Syfy, did a few crossover episodes with W13. You don't need to have seen either show to dive in; there's a lot of us around that can answer universe-based questions.

Hello! Have you thought about hollyheights? It is slice of life (and we have Xion and Roxas), so that may not be your sort of thing. However, we have pretty foxy FF casts and a X-Rikku on reserve (that is already an established player in game). AC is two proofs, but you can get it through a post, a log, or commenting around. Comment AC is 10, but you can break it up into three separate proofs (3 comments, 3 comments, 4 comments, etc.)!

A big pull is that you can link a history section and one of your samples. Reserves close on the 1st and apps are open April 1-7. We also have a test drive up over here, if you're interested! I'll admit despite the temptation of knowing the people I know there and the FF casts, the game size and pace is a might bit too much for me. =( Slice of life isn't really my cuppa either, unfortunately. But, yeah, I totally get the sol thing. I personally prefer FIGHTAN DRAGONS AND MONSTERS AND ETC. but there are so few games like that these days. I highly recommend checking out the game, still. I've found everyone really engaging and able to make their own fun and was, frankly, shocked at the fun I've been having. :')

But uh, mostly, hey! If you're up for museboxing or memes, I have a Lulu that I like to throw out every now and then. I don't intend to app her because she's really quite similar to Quistis in many ways...

I really like these character choices, to be honest, so let me recommend afterliving to you! It's a game set in a school-based afterlife from the Angel Beats! series. However, while I cannot offer you any castmates, I can tell you that it fits all of your other preferences! We are very backtag heavy and our AC is 20 comments bimonthly within three threads, so I'm pretty sure you should be alright.

We also have a lot of plot and slice of life (well, slice of afterlife, really), but if you need any information about the plot itself, you're free to ask me! And that includes any other questions as well, of course.

Oh, cool! I've seen this game around before, but for some reason, I never connected the dots that it was related to Angel Beats. But that makes it extra cool.

In terms of plot though, what kind of plots have happened in the past? Is it relatively light-hearted or does it sway more to serious business? And how much do the characters forget? I kinda remember the characters in the series forgetting the more poignant events leading to their deaths/having to remember them. It's been a while since I've seen it though, so my brain is fuzzy on things. Hahaha... Irony.

Still me, just on a different account! Events vary from both ways - also, in regards to amnesia, characters don't have to forget anything leading to deaths and it's completely optional. Of course they don't have to remember how they died which is totally and completely fine.

Right now we're on a more darker plot - having characters being turned into shadows - but the events themselves are generally lighthearted, having NPCs turn into yanderes, participating in an eggbaby project, etc.!

OH NO! I know we would love either Roxas or Xion over at rekindleme! it's a pretty small, slow game (I don't know the player/character count, but there are maybe a handful of posts a week) that's mostly slice-of-life but does have an overarching plot that player action contributes to. AC is awesomely easy, being only 10 comments (or 20 if you take a strike). we have Aqua (hi!), Riku, Sora, Xehanort, and an AU Terra. either Xion or Roxas would be happily adopted into the family c:
