We have a Fourth-Wall event coming up next month and that doesn't require becoming pony-fied. So if you're still interested by then, come check it out.

Also, Archie's Megaman series actually seems pretty cool, so I picked him up for fun....Alright. Tell you what. I really like what I'm reading of the game, so if you have a way I can talk to you privately (even PMs would work) and help me work out a few things, I'll give it a shot.
I'm really not against ponies, it's just more that I have trouble getting interested in the show, so I was afraid the game would be fairly like it and have the same problem. It doesn't really seem to, though!

Indeed it is. I only just recently got up to date 'cause I'm not exactly near a comic book store and ordering online isn't really an option at the moment.I have both a plurk and a tumblr. It's
I can understand that. It's not everyone's cup of tea. You don't really need to know much about the show to play in MLJ.

I'm surprised, really. I usually don't like Archie's stuff.I'll PM you, then.
Yeah, it's like... I heard such good things about the show but all I can think of while watching it is oh god I'm so bored. The fact that the game's not really that deeply tied into it besides the obvious pretty much broke my major uncertainy about it.
Now I just have to hope I can remember how to play Knuckles, sob. It's been a while but every time I've brought him out everyone has been like YOUR KNUCKLES IS AWESOME and I usually keep some summaries and old threads around for when someone wants the muse.

I've never been into Archie either, though they seem to trying to do new things with him like Afterlife with Archie. I also hear Archie Sonic is getting better in recent years.Yeah that's the nature of the beast. It's mostly slice of life with some action (mostly in the season opener/finales). Most of the songs can be very good.
You could always canon review if you feel you need the refresher. You should be able to find walkthoughs on Youtube.

It's like they're learning!I love the songs, not going to lie. I don't think I've heard one I haven't liked.
Yup, I tend to do that too. The Knuckles I play is actually from about SA2B canon, since that's the game I played so much I'm surprised the disk didn't fall apart, so there's generally not too much canon reviewing I need to do. With how huge a role he had in the game, the cutscenes of that are pretty much all I need.
I find it funny that I seem to be one of the few people who sees Knuckles as generally being pretty calm and chill. He's just very easy to rile up if you know where his buttons are, and Sonic not only knows where they are but has a habit of not so much pressing them as hitting them with a hammer.

Pretty much. They certainly seem a lot smarter than Marvel and DC these days (especially DC. New 52, anyone?)My favorites are A True True Friend and This Day Aria. The songs in the Pinkie Pride episode are also very good, though having Weird Al in it helps.
Ah I see. My Tails is post-Sonic Lost World, but he's used to dealing with time/alternate universe shenanigans like that (he was originally post-Sonic Unleashed when I first played him in DDD.)
I know. It makes me sad how Sega treats him like a flanderlized butt monkey these days. =( I'm hoping Sonic Boom will treat him a little better, though I feel they might just make that version of him a dumb brute.

I have no idea, I don't usually read comics. My friends tried to introduce me to them early, but I'm a very visual person so I took one look at the art and was like OH GOD I CAN FEEL MY EYES BLEEDING.Ah, Weird Al. No one can hate you.
Man, Lost World and Colors were so good, even if I can't actually play Lost World. I don't... have good tracking in my eyes, so just watching my friend play something like the second level I was all "OKAY WAIT I'M DIZZY HANG ON". It's hilarious in a kind of horrible way.
I honestly... don't really care what they do in Sonic Boom. I absolutely hate his design. XD; I don't blame them for wanting to make him look a little more thick and stocky, but this is Lara Croft levels of design. Someone accidentally slid the "beefy" slide too far and the developers decided "Eh, fuck it, go with it." Maybe if he looked less like an ad for a weight set I'd be more interested, but with that and my utter paranoia of OH GOD REBOOTS KILL EVERYTHING, I'm a tad bit skittish of it.

I'm more of a casual fan as I mainly got into it by watching the cartoons as a kid and watching a show called Atop the Fourth Wall, which is a web show of a guy reviewing comic books and does storylines sometimes.Yeah for the games I don't have systems for, I usually watch walkthoughs on youtube. The only systems I have at the moment is Xbox 360 and PS2. Can't afford the newest ones.
The designs did seem weird at first, but I've grown to like them. Yeah Knuckles looks rather strange, but since he's the strong guy it makes sense he gets some muscles. I'm personally pretty sold on the show, but not so much on the game (mostly because I don't have a Wii-U). How knows? It might be good.

Oh god I've heard of that. Didn't he do crossovers with The Spoony Experiment sometimes?...Okay, are you alternate-universe-me? Because that's exactly the same position I'm in. Exact same systems too, with the exception of having a 3DS as a gift from a friend. And a PSP around here somewhere.
Like I said, I understood wanting to make him thicker and muscled. It's not that I have a problem with, it's just that there's something in his design that just screams wrong to me. Not "This character looks bad!" wrong, just "There is something horrifically and biologically incorrect here" wrong. Right now, I'm just waiting for it to come out and then I'll make a judgement on it. Maybe it looks better in actual game motion and stills don't do it justice.

Yes, though not just him. He's done crossovers with some of the other produces like the Nostalgia Critic. They like to do crossovers, especially during cons. Most likely not. XD I sadly don't have access to handhelds though. Maybe someday I will get a PSP or DS.
I hear ya. I would prefer him not so huge either. At least the other three look decent (though I'm not a fan of Amy's new dress and I'm still trying to get used to the tape).

Not surprised, those things are usually hilarious. The 3DS is pretty good. I've always said Nintendo makes their stuff durable and man this isn't any exception. I've dropped it tons of times and nothing is so much as sticking.
Tails and Sonic look pretty good; I actually like their designs. Amy's... yeah, the dress feels way too... provocative is maybe the word? I'm not sure, but she looks more like Rouge, and that's weird.
I think my friend said it was something like to make her look more distinct but it really didn't, it just looked like she raided Rouge's closet. XD

Very much.Well when I get the chance, I'll consider investing into getting one.
Eh, I don't think it's provocative, but it doesn't seem like the right style for her. I get they are trying to make her different than her canon self, but I think it would be been better if they just gave her a tank top and shorts or sport pants.
