If you're new to DW then I'll poke you toward 3step_paradise. It fits most of the above: castmate (Shadow from the games, and kinda sorta Manic), slow/medium-paced and an easy AC with a 3-strike system, not a sex game, and not a memory loss game.

It's a jamjar with a focus on exploration and character interation but with plot from both mods and players. Aside from Manic I happen to play a techie turtle from Sly Cooper so I'd be just as interested in Donatello and Casey Jones as I would Sonic or Scourge.
