It's monthly, yeah. I've only ever had trouble meeting it with one character when I was in the middle of a crazy month (and said character is the type not to really want to talk to people so).

Pretty much! Even if you app in without having CR meme stuff, in your OoC post you can throw up 'so my character is involved with xyz/works here/goes to this school' and you can get stuff there too. The CR post definitely gets more responses, but it's still a thing you can throw up if you like.
