Hello!

I actually have a few friends in the game so I admit I have peeked at the it recently. While I'm definitely okay with a sex setting, I'm not sure how well I'd fare with the kinks. Are there any examples of what to expect/what is pretty common/whether people are okay with the more vanilla side of things?

I'm okay with violence & things like that, but there's a bunch of stuff I wouldn't be willing to play and that's why I've overlooked CoA in the past.

In my experience, you should be fine! The thing I like most about Ariel is in my experience, I've primarily plotted with people OOCly through CR memes and on Plurk. This allows us to talk about boundaries or where we'd like specific threads to go. It's easy to put your kink list up with the typical "yes, maybe, no" categories, but it's easy-going to plot oocly as well.

While the character I play there isn't............ vanilla or soft in the slightest, I've certainly seen people take things on that way. You wouldn't be alone! The only real advice I have is be actively vocal about your wants. No one will really judge you for wanting to play softer kinks. :)

Ah that's good to know! Like some things I really don't mind, but others just aren't my cup of tea or I wouldn't be comfortable playing it. I have no qualms with people that do, obviously, which is why I wouldn't mind the game as long as I could work around a few things.

Then that's absolutely normal. There's no real substance of causing drama for it. We just try and find mutual kinks or foundations to build CR on. There's rarely instances of forcing kinks. :)

Good to know! I might have friends there but I haven't really looked properly before for fear of not having interesting enough kinks tbh...
