We've got a nicely sized cast at eachdraidh. It's a high fantasy setting, but with war and backstabbing and it isn't terribly hard to get involved in the greater conflict or to just do your own thing. Mel would make a pretty cool inclusion for the game!

I'd call it medium paced on a good day. Speed really comes down to how many threads you are juggling. In my experience I only have a few players I end up able to boomerang with, but there's plenty who might do one or two tags a day on a thread. It tends to get a few posts a day.

Basically the pace ends up being whatever you set for yourself. If you get involved in some of the NPC plots, it can seem a little faster.

I play this loser over at eachdraidh these days and it's been pretty fun! It usually moves at a mediumish pace, but AC is super super easy so you can still make it if you need to take things slow

Might I recommend a horror game for your perusal? maisondeportes is slow-medium pace, generally picking up around events and updates. It's heavily plot-driven, with lots of opportunities for the PCs to get in and affect outcomes or sometimes even derail it entirely. XD The horror is more psychological/intrigue than gory. So yeah, we fit pretty much everything. Come check us out, if you like.

I ask because I play Robin at saudade_rpg. It has modern/near-future technology, but also magic. It's also a game that involves visiting lots of worlds (though so far, the most high tech world is 'modern New York City'). I've been hunting for castmates, since (for once) I don't have to lone canon warrior it up. It's pretty slow paced, which is nice.

ETA: We also have a (pre-canon) Gojyo in addition!

I wouldn't mind having canonmates over for Robin. Saudade is a slow-paced game with a lot of interworld travel (the mechanics are based on Kingdom Hearts (Darkness, many worlds, the magic system), while ignoring the metaplot that makes it so overwhelming to canon-blind folks like myself). We also have a Roy from the FMA manga.

AC is pretty small, and one gets three strikes.

anywaaay, the game I'm reccing is maskormenace! It's a comm-based, panfandom game with a premise of "you're brought to Cold War era-ish Earth in order to become a superhero and do superhero things." We've got a test drive meme here and applications open Sept. 1st. You can do as much or as little superhero things as you want, which is always nice. While we don't have any Penny Dreadful people ingame (which is a damn crying shame), we do have a fun assortment of supernatural characters, including a fair amount of vampires and a ghost or two.

Saudade is a slow-paced game with a lot of interworld travel (the mechanics are based on Kingdom Hearts (Darkness, many worlds, the magic system), while ignoring the metaplot that makes it so overwhelming to canon-blind folks like myself). The exploration and missions means there's stuff for non-slice of life things, and the pace is slow. Also, I'd like to see Zelda characters even if we don't have a cast.

Give maisondeportes a look? We're a bit more psychological/suspense horror than survival horror, but there are elements of many types of horror depending on how your muse takes things. Our players are pretty spread out across timezones around the world, so somebody's usually on, but we're also slow/medium paced and super backtag friendly, so most people don't worry about that.

As for powers, it'll depend on your muse, but generally most keep their powers intact unless it's something that could potentially destroy the setting (as in... literally destroy, one of the rules is 'no nukes in the house') or damage plot. The only one of mine that got nerfed coming in can see the future, for instance.

I've had no problem with back-tagging for ever, the pace is pretty slow and comfortable. There's a power-swap element, with the opportunity to adapt canon powers.
