Plourr wants to deal with Wes more, right? [community profile] outer_divide is a small, slow paced, friendly game. THere's a lot of room for players to really impact the direction of the game and a whole planet to explore. Wes is even working with a team trying to get back up into space. Previous game history is allowed as well. Our Star Wars cast is Luke, Wes, Padme, Jacen and Tenel Ka. So bring me more EU!

Also. Dinosaurs.

It seems pretty interesting! I'm curious though if the AC will be taking into account things like slower months while the game gets started/slower times of the year? I'd rather not get ACed out just because there's not a lot of opportunities to do things, even if I have plans.

Latest ever so not sure if you'll see this, but I'd love to see a Steve at [community profile] outer_divide. It's a small, slow paced game that lives for backtags. There's a lot of real room for players to impact the plot to the point of forcing the mod to redraw all the maps. There's a whole planet to explore rather than just a jar of jam. Characters get to keep their powers when they aren't on the ship unless they misbehave. We have an assorted Marvel cast including Tony, Pepper, THor and Sif from the MCU as well as a Tales of Asgard Loki, Molly here from 616 and Kurt, PIetro and Todd from X-Men: Evo.

Oh, and there are dinosaurs.

Absolutely! Activity to pass AC doesn't necessarily have to be action-related, or plot-oriented, just any actual evidence of doing something with the character. It's intended to be a way of rewarding people for character development and thoughtful posts rather than being able to pass AC with a conversation about the weather because the comment count is correct.

Oooh. Inuyasha!

I'm rewatching it again myself, and I'd love to see him show up at [community profile] box_network!

Awesome! Thanks for the speedy reply; I'll definitely give it a shot, especially as it seems like it'll be an interesting game and cast so far. :D

Sorry for the delay. We've done a lot of exploration type events, but this current one (involving nightmares and spooky stuff has been very good for developing CR and getting everyone to be a bit psychological.)

I have friends there! Cool. I heard about summer plots being a thing and the game becomes slice-of-life the rest of the year?

Aww. XD

[personal profile] leanpox 2014-09-02 02:36 am (UTC)(link)
ah, sorry! I'd put MLJ under "AU game" personally, although I guess it's not technically one. Thank you so much for the suggestion, though!

Aww. Cool, cool. I think I want to solidify her as a muse more before I try canonmates. She's more confrontational than my other characters and I'm still trying to figure her out.

Glad you know her, though! The comics are more obscure than the books.

Not so much slice-of-life, more like plots the rest of the year aren't part of the greater arc and don't change the setting and are more ad hoc. Like the summer plots are all part of one ongoing story about the world the game takes place on, whereas non-summer plots are just episodic or events and don't reveal anything new about the world. (The idea being that many RPers are more free in the summer than the rest of the year, so the plots the rest of the year are things where a person could hiatus for a month and not miss major reveals an easily slip back into the game after hiatus was over.) Actually a couple of us are hoping to get a little plot going this fall involving the criminal organizations.

ahh, i did play her a little bit way back in 2008, but never long enough to really get something substantial out of it. i honestly don't remember much of it either, and it took a little brain wracking to remember it. so i'll have to be honest and say i don't think i'd be able to app her to wtl. thanks for the offer though! i hope your makoto finds an usagi soon.

I've heard of that one! And I have some friends over there. How big is that world, anyway? Last time I looked the game over it seemed pretty small.
midousuji: (i taste you on my lips and)

thanks for the offer! i'll keep it in mind. i did give adstring a shot a little while ago, but between rl and being lost in the game (i think everyone was involved in some kind of player plot at the time? i'm honestly not sure), i just kind of forgot i was in the game, truthfully. it's embarrassing, but it is the earnest truth... since that's kind of a terrible track record to have (OTL), i'll have to seriously give it some thought. thanks, though!
wildkotetsu: (he really likes sesame street)

[personal profile] wildkotetsu 2014-09-02 03:15 am (UTC)(link)
Haha, no problem! I've done that personally with a few games before, too, and I'm sure nobody around here would fault you too much for a track record. I hope you give Adstring a second glance, but regardless good luck with your game scouting!

[personal profile] freeasabook 2014-09-02 03:16 am (UTC)(link)
Huh! Cool, that makes sense.

hmm. How much history does a previous game need to have had? Enough to leave a solid impression on the character?

I'm considering Nageki here. He's a ghost, but when he was in Demelier he got to treat that like an afterlife and be solid/visible, without actually being alive and seriously ill.

+1 on the Inuyasha! We have a post-apocalyptic natural-survival-kinda-game complete with monthly events and spirit-tomfoolery over at [community profile] adstringendum. I think Simon would probably fit in pretty nicely with the setting as well! Hope you check it out, see if it's worth a try.

oh! i actually know a few people there! so i do have a little bit of an idea of the pace. i'm not sure what my schedule will be like in the coming months, which is why i'm looking for a slow to medium pace game. it seems like a safe bet, you know?

it's a cute idea, though! i'll keep it in mind. my schedule is a little unpredictable, and i'm potentially looking at a 11 to 9 work schedule soon, so yeah, i am a bit weary, ahahah... thank you, though!

Oh my goooosh, a Kida! Maybe give [community profile] adstringendum a gander. It is a survival game that ranges between different genres (crack to occasional horror to fantasy to SOL) where the universes have sort of crashed together into one big mess, that involves odd varying spirits who like to bug the people stuck there. Maybe she would be a nice fit there, if you're interested.

I actually just dropped from ED not too long ago -- not with Mimori obviously, but yeah. I enjoyed my time there, but for the time being, I'm unable to keep up with such a plot-heavy game. ): However, if you'd like to meme/musebox sometime or ever find yourself bringing Kanata to a different game, feel free to contact me at [personal profile] uekara; I'd love love love to play with you!

I've got Joan Watson here, and I am looking for a Sherlock for memes and PSLs! I am a Joanlock shipper, but I'm also willing to play them platonic :)
