Oh, man, we were talking about trying to recruit a Sam last night :3

thegames is more action/plot than slice of life, but does have plenty of opportunities for slice of life moments and opportunities for player plots. We're slow-to-medium paced with an emphasis on prose and are very backtag friendly. AC is way easy (accumulate at least 100 points throughout the AC cycle, which can be easily done within a week if you tag new CR) with a main with-numbers check every couple months and an in between "I'm alive" check in. As for castmates, we have a HUGE Marvel cast made up of both MCU and 616 characters including a Steve (who would love a Sam), three Buckys (one MCU, one 616, one Panem-based AU), a Tony, and a Thor, and MCU!Natasha's currently reserved.

If you're interested, we have a test drive meme going on at the moment and I'd be more than willing to answer any questions you may have.

Sam would certainly be a very welcome addition to our group! After all, everyone currently in game are used to Tony and don't rise to his teasing anymore.

An upside of the Marvel cast is that while you would be finding your feet in game, AC would be laughably easy because all of us are really friendly and eager to plot and play.

And really that can be said of anyone in the games. As showy but anti social as Tony is he has a fair amount of cross canon CR so you will feel pretty spoilt for choice for who to help generate AC with.

Pacing I'd say it's very much pick your own speed where you can have lazy months where theres not much tagging around to a month were you couldn't possibly drag yourself from the computer because the tags sing to you like a siren

Oh man, I've actually been eyeing The Games off and on since it opened, it looks like a ton of fun!

I remember in the past the number of Tributes was capped and applications were closed until some were dropped, is that still the case? Either way, I'm definitely going to give it a more in depth look and likely at least start filling out an app.

Yesssss goooooood. Honestly, it's a ridiculously fun game and the MCU cast is so friendly and amazingly easy to play off of, both from a crosscanon and a canonmate POV.

That's still the case, but we kind of had a case of excellent timing this month since Tribute reserves are open right now.

...dude, that is fantastic. I think I'll go ahead and toss in a reserve, give the movie another rewatch and see if I can't get an app sorted out this week!
