The Station - A Panfandom Science Fiction Game.

You know how rivers all lead to the ocean? Throughout the universe are Time Rivers, vast flowing amounts of energy leading to and from different universes, piercing the barriers between them. Unfortunately, somehow, you ended up too close to one of the Time Rivers that leads here, the Dead Space. In the Dead Space lies the Station, the last remains of a once proud race. The Station just so happens to be the only civilization for countless light years, and there is no way out of the Dead Space. All the Time Rivers seem to lead in, but none lead out.

The Station is massive, run entirely by a small few and the Station's computer system, and the lone civilization in the Dead Space that seems to be otherwise completely inhospitable - planets with cannibal civilizations, unbreathable atmospheres, horrible creatures, and more. But since people started showing up on the Station, things have gotten more and more strange. Ripples of energy have crossed the Station more than once, and each time, something has gone terribly wrong, or at least, gone weird. Changing minds and bodies, bringing items and people only to take them away, spilling blood.

Bring yourself, bring your ship, bring your companion... but you'll never leave the Dead Space without help from the Station, and it and its people will never survive without you.

thestation is a panfandom, jamjar style science-fiction game set far into the future in a universe where all canons come together. The game's plot is a deep mystery, waiting for players to discover more and more of it through interaction and investigation. Each character will be given a unique scenario upon acceptance of their application of their waking situation when they appear at the Station. We are a small game, slow to medium-paced, and backtagging-friendly. Events range from silly crack to survival horror, mostly player requested and some plot-related. AC is light: one post or 10 comments per month. Applications are currently being accepted on an open basis, please feel free to submit! Canon and original characters are allowed. Our apologies, but 'alternate universe,' 'fandom,' or 'canon OC' characters are not allowed.

General Game Info

luceti is a journal-based game, known as "the game with the wings". It is a jamjar based on the premise of characters being suddenly trapped within an enclosure known as Luceti, where everyone has a pair of (non-flying) wings and a barcode on their necks. They're watched over by the morally ambiguous organization known as the Malnosso, who run experiments that usually are the cause of in-game events. It is largely considered to be slice-of-life but with openings for player plots, and there is also an ongoing plot which involves the war ravaging in the world outside the enclosure. It is considered to be a medium-paced game (with a spike during events which are usually monthly), and the AC is 30 comments over a one-month period every two months that can be split between three sources (posts and threads).

Anyone considering applying within the near future should also look at the current event, as it will affect conditions for the entirety of October and seemingly part of November as well. Essentially, the entire enclosure (along with any New Feathers that come in after the fact) will be sent in time to a past version of Luceti, from before the formation of the Malnosso. Characters will have more limited resources in this scenario and a 10 percent power cap. This is building up to a big mystery plot.

Smiling women are here to greet you, cheerfully handing you a journal and chirping encouragements to write to those you know. It’s almost peaceful, even though when you try to step out, you’re blocked from leaving by a powerful force. Outside, the world seems bright and warm, and the voices behind you are cheerful. ABOUT US
❀ Kiseki is a panfandom slice-of-life jamjar game set in the separate world of Miracle Country, a series of islands with all kinds of magical mishaps and circumstances. It seems a pleasant enough place, aside from some underlying creepiness (think Outo Country in Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle or cursed Storybrooke in Once Upon a Time).

❀ Kiseki is a CLAMP inspired (meaning series such as Card Captor Sakura, X/1999, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, and Magic Knight Rayearth – just to name a few), but no prior knowledge of the manga-ka is necessary to join – it’s great for both CLAMP enthusiasts and canon-blind appers.

❀ Kiseki has both game-wide events and player-run plots which tend to run on at least a monthly basis (or sometimes twice a month).

❀ Kiseki is a small game (21 players and 60 characters) with a small and friendly player base, very backtag friendly and accommodating to all tagging-speeds; we have a bi-monthly AC that ranges from 30 to 40 comments total or one open post.

❀ Reserves are always open and last for one week, and the application itself is simple: no third person required!

❀ The game pace is overall medium-paced, sometimes faster during events and comments tend more towards comment-spam rather than prose.

❀ The game is comm-based and gameplay consists of both open logs and journal entries posted through magically-connected paper journals.

❀ We are on insanejournal which means all free accounts get 100 free icons; insanejournal is currently on invite-code only, so please feel free to poke me if you need a code.

A T A R A X I O N

You wake up, alone in the dark. There's a breathing tube jammed down your trachea, and you're suspended in a tube of clear blue fluid. Upon registering your level of consciousness, the gravity couch drains the fluid surrounding you and retracts the breathing apparatus; the doors in front of you open, and you're deposited on the floor of a stark, sterile, empty medical bay.

Don't worry. The disorientation usually wears off in less than thirty-six hours.

Ataraxion is a panfandom science-fiction/psychological horror RPG set in a universe not so different from our own. The game is primarily a character-driven jamjar, with an overarching plot that will conceal story elements from both the player base and the PCs. Characters will arrive in-game on the Titan-class colonization ship Tranquility, waking from grav couches located in the ship's medbay. The ship (mysteriously bereft of all original crew members, save two) is heading towards a way home—a deep-space jump point known only as Ataraxia. From there, according to the captain, characters will be able to return to their universes.

Over two years old, Ataraxion is a slow-paced game with a large plot every second month and a variety of minor monthly occurrences. Our monthly Activity Check is one post or one log or ten comments, and backtagging is welcomed and encouraged. We have characters from a variety of mediums, including television, film, books, webcomics, video games, comics, anime and manga. We love lone canon warriors and accept CR AUs and original characters.

Katniss Everdeen's spark has set the world of Panem on fire, and the Capitol has been scrambling to beat down the flames ever since. President Snow is presented with two options if he's not to lose everything: Crush the rebellions with force, or pacify their anger. And when you have been murdering people's children for almost 75 years, that is no small task.

However, the Hunger Games cannot just end. The Capitol expects them, thrives off them, and although Snow is willing to pacify the Districts, he won't be seen as weak. He refuses to let them to forget what is waiting for them if they ever make one misstep, and now, it will be on their minds every day.

Now they can pull Tributes from all worlds, all realities, and all times. Unlimited Tributes, and not a drop of Panem's blood will be shed to fuel the rebellion's power. And the Capitol's power, its force, can be broadcast all day, every day.

The city love the constant excitement, but not every one is so pleased about it.

Now the Hunger Games never have to stop.

smashacademy is a comm-based Super Smash Brothers "High School" game. However, we're not limited to just Nintendo games--we welcome ALL VIDEO GAME CANONS! We accept SOME DUPLICATES. Our game is medium-small, pace is slow to moderate but picks up during events. We highly encourage player plots and there's also moderator-run events as well. Despite the "school" setting, we offer plenty of action, adventure, drama and of course, LOTS OF BRAWLING! Smash is not jam-jar (Have you ever wanted to see Ganondorf visit Hocotate? You can make it happen here...), powers are not nerfed, "humanization" of animal characters is your choice and you can switch freely between the two. (It certainly makes things like typing and talking a lot easier, though!)

Activity checks here are extremely relaxed and happen quarterly. Player check-ins happen every month there isn't an activity check!

▶ route_29 is a panfandom, medium-paced game set in the wonderful world of Pokémon! Specifically, Route is set in the Gen IV, HeartGold/SoulSilver incarnations of Johto and Kanto, but with an available Pokédex up through Gen VI and plenty of exposure to elements of the other regions through mod-run events!

▶ No prior knowledge of Pokémon canon is necessary; we're very friendly to PokéExperts and complete newbies alike! As a predominantly slice-of-life game with regular mod-run events and plots, your Route experience can be as involved or as low-pressure as you make it; we've got a little something for everyone.

▶ We're also very open to player-run plots and villain-friendly — while participation in Team Rocket isn't mandatory for our more villainous characters, we're glad to put the ruthless organization's resources at their disposal when it comes to wreaking havoc on the nation!

▼ GAME BASICS

▶ Route is a journal-based game, but if the upkeep and maintenance of your journal's friends list is an issue, we keep the community's reading list updated for you so all you have to do is join the communities, the same as in any other game!

▶ We're medium-sized, with around 100 characters currently in play, and we run at a comfortable medium-slow pace: on average you're likely to see two to four new posts per day, but with natural fluctuations in speed — we run a little faster during events, and a little slower periodically. We're also very backtag-friendly!

▶ AC is quite manageable — just three proofs per month, which can be satisfied with any combination of posts, logs, or comment threads (totaling at least 10 comments, 5 from you and 5 from someone else).

▶ Our next app round is next weekend, with the app deadline on the 4th of October, midnight EST. If you're still not sure about Route, we currently have a GLORIOUS TEST DRIVE where you can mingle with our lovely player base and other app hopefuls! We hope to see you soon in the world of Pokémon!

Cyclicality is a new, community-based game based on the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra, set after the third book of The Legend of Korra. It opens on October 4th, 2014 at 12:01AM EST. Players have the option to AU their characters to fit the setting or to have their character remain OU and pulled in via the Spirit World. Interactions are meant to be mainly face-to-face and, for the first month or so, characters will be restricted to Republic City, encircled by a spiritual barrier. Over the course of the next few months, the barrier will fall allowing for further exploration. After all, Republic City might not be as safe as people make it out to be. After all, there are already vines covering the setting. What's next? People claiming to be from different worlds?

Characters, if apped AU, will have the opportunity to app in as having the heritage of one of the four nations or as being born in Republic City. Players have the choice of making them a bender or non-bender, although subsets and advanced subsets have a few prerequisites in order to be used.

The three year gap leaves a lot of room for plotting. Depending on what characters do, the game can end up as a parallel to book 4 of The Legend of Korra, or it can become something different. There are all sorts of roles to fill, from Equalists in hiding to Red Lotus sleeper agents. What role will your character fill? Will they try and make a difference? To better the world and move it forward?

The Station - A Panfandom Science Fiction Game.

You know how rivers all lead to the ocean? Throughout the universe are Time Rivers, vast flowing amounts of energy leading to and from different universes, piercing the barriers between them. Unfortunately, somehow, you ended up too close to one of the Time Rivers that leads here, the Dead Space. In the Dead Space lies the Station, the last remains of a once proud race. The Station just so happens to be the only civilization for countless light years, and there is no way out of the Dead Space. All the Time Rivers seem to lead in, but none lead out.

The Station is massive, run entirely by a small few and the Station's computer system, and the lone civilization in the Dead Space that seems to be otherwise completely inhospitable - planets with cannibal civilizations, unbreathable atmospheres, horrible creatures, and more. But since people started showing up on the Station, things have gotten more and more strange. Ripples of energy have crossed the Station more than once, and each time, something has gone terribly wrong, or at least, gone weird. Changing minds and bodies, bringing items and people only to take them away, spilling blood.

Bring yourself, bring your ship, bring your companion... but you'll never leave the Dead Space without help from the Station, and it and its people will never survive without you.

thestation is a panfandom, jamjar style science-fiction game set far into the future in a universe where all canons come together. The game's plot is a deep mystery, waiting for players to discover more and more of it through interaction and investigation. Each character will be given a unique scenario upon acceptance of their application of their waking situation when they appear at the Station. We are a small game, slow to medium-paced, and backtagging-friendly. Events range from silly crack to survival horror, mostly player requested and some plot-related. About the Game:

Maison De Portes is a pan-fandom survival horror/mystery game. The potential for death and harm to come to your characters is almost guaranteed. The game is prose-only, with a very easy activity check. We have multiple story paths, with endings to be decided by the actions of the characters. The game is slow to mid paced, fairly small, with lots of chances for characters to work together to solve the situation they find themselves in. Brave New World is a community-based AU Pokémon game focused around exploration, discovery, and plot. In the distant past, the Legendary Pokémon lead armies to destroy the human civilization that had long enslaved them. And that is the beginning of the text written on the book that was placed on top of the glass coffin before the coffin was placed in a cavern and the cavern was forgotten. Before lots of things were forgotten, like how water runs and how trees grow and how to put together a person the right way . . .

Aather is a panfandom memory-loss team game set in a world of fairy tales; it's a communal fable about the nature of stories, the power of friendship, and the importance of free will.

Characters wake up in the world of Aather with near-complete amnesia and are assigned to a team. Together with this team, they play in games run by beings called the Personae in order to win back their past—their memories, their skills, and so on.

You see, the world of Aather is getting devoured by something. Characters tumble into the world into a Ring—there is always a Ring, and there is always a Tree. But what these look like depends on the part of Aather characters are working hard to regain. As games are played and memories are regained, Aather expands, and unlocks. The actions of the heroes of Aather cause the world to change and grow as the world—and its mysteries—are slowly freed from the darkness that binds them . . .

Your character arrives in the magical world of Aather with only a single memory to their name, assigned to one of fourteen teams (or as a knight tasked with assisting the teams). They must learn to live with their teammates, because together they'll be playing in games to regain their memories and fight the Darkness.

Aather has no in-character network; all interactions are face to face, with an emphasis on commentspam, or mostly short tags. Once or twice a week, games occur—scheduled events where characters compete to win back their memories.

❧ the games
Games are essentially mini-events run by mods or players. These are scheduled in advance, and can be anywhere between a few hours and "take home" (multi-day) events. They can be interaction-based with a survey "turn-in" judged by the gamerunner, an IC game of Cry Wolf or Balderdash, competitions between teams, and so on—generally suited to a Persona's "theme."

There are also "plot" events threaded throughout and between games—characters have the ability to ICly change the course and progress of life in Aather by affecting the lives and development of the Personae and what is versus what should be in Aather's Story—characters are the key to finding the balance between binding and protecting, between free will and a happy ending.

Aather has been an active game for 3.5+ years and we are always looking to welcome new players who bring fresh ideas! We have several open slots on a number of teams—so there shouldn't be much of a wait to get placed on a team that suits your character!

You can view the taken & dropped characters list to see who is available to be apped—some dropped characters are "locked" and unable to be apped by new players. We also have a page outlining how Aather's memory regains work, as well as apping a hero vs. apping a knight. The mods also welcome any questions at aathermods[at]gmail.com.

Applications are open once a month for new hero apps, and all the time for knights. The next application window starts on Friday, October 3rd @ 11:59PM EST and goes for 48 hours.

ABOUT US
❀ Kiseki is a panfandom slice-of-life jamjar game set in the separate world of Miracle Country, a series of islands with all kinds of magical mishaps and circumstances. It seems a pleasant enough place, aside from some underlying creepiness (think Outo Country in Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle or cursed Storybrooke in Once Upon a Time).

❀ Kiseki is a CLAMP inspired (meaning series such as Card Captor Sakura, X/1999, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, and Magic Knight Rayearth – just to name a few), but no prior knowledge of the manga-ka is necessary to join – it’s great for both CLAMP enthusiasts and canon-blind appers.

❀ Kiseki has both game-wide events and player-run plots which tend to run on at least a monthly basis (or sometimes twice a month).

❀ Kiseki is a small game (21 players and 60 characters) with a small and friendly player base, very backtag friendly and accommodating to all tagging-speeds; we have a bi-monthly AC that ranges from 30 to 40 comments total or one open post.

❀ Reserves are always open and last for one week, and the application itself is simple: no third person required!

❀ The game pace is overall medium-paced, sometimes faster during events and comments tend more towards comment-spam rather than prose.

❀ The game is comm-based and gameplay consists of both open logs and journal entries posted through magically-connected paper journals.

You don't quite remember what you were doing the moments before you now find your eyes trying to adjust to the darkness, the cold; you're somewhere underground, soldiers milling all around you. There are dog tags around your neck and some kind of digital imprinting on your wrist that seems to glow in the dark and reads: ʀᴇɢɪsᴛᴇʀᴇᴅ ʜᴇʀᴏ. "So, hero," says a woman's voice, her face in shadows as a machine hums into glowing blue life behind her. "You're about to be a part of something bigger than yourself; I hope you're up for it." Before you can answer, you're ushered somehow upward, leaving you with only her final words -- "Don't worry. We're the good guys." -- before you're enveloped in blue light and suddenly blinking the bright Florida sunlight from your eyes. A soldier escorts you to a car, where she proceeds to debrief you on the situation as she drives you to your lodgings. Your home, for now. Settle into your new house, your new job, get used to your powers, make some friends, keep your ear to the ground. Or, if that's not your style, get your villain hat on and cause some real mayhem, or put on a costume and bring back the era of the caped crusader... just be careful how you do it. This is bigger than you, and you didn't ask to be recruited. What you do next is up to you. ✖ MASK OR MENACE, sequel to capeandcowl, is a panfandom RPG based on the graphic novel New Frontier and set in a parallel, modern day universe... with a twist. Although the year is 2014, some sentiments and technology may be more reminiscent of the 1950s Cold War era, and some may seem far flung from the future.
