Apologies if I've hit you up in the past for enabling, but I don't think I have.. So I will offer you up a game called thewake! The basic premise is your character answers a summons to a higher plane of being into a city called Nautilus. Characters can bend reality to their will there, so just about anything can happen. There's a bit of a level system with how powerful the bending abilities of each character is, and right now for overall plot, one of the more powerful NPCs has stolen an important part of the city and is trying to end all the worlds ever. There's for sure some SoL elements, but since I've been in game we have usually had some metaplot stuff going on at least every other month, it seems like.

The pace is usually medium, I would say. I don't think the AC is hard, but I know that can be kind of subjective... Backtagging is for sure a thing though. As for power loss, character do lose their special abilities to start - basic things like combat skills and whatnot stay - but you can regain them with the whole bending reality through will, along with being able to make new abilities. You would have castmates though! I play Nu there and we have a Hazama too, so basically there's always some evil plotting going on.

Hello, there. I'd like to point you in the direction of thestation. We're a relatively small science fiction game set on a space station that anything out of time and space seems to be able to appear on. Events range from horror to adventure to some light-hearted. There are lots of chances for action and exploration, pacing is slow to medium, AC is one post or ten comments a month. People do lots of prose tags, and everybody is really open to backtagging.

I was saying the other day about how much I wanted to play with a Rocket, but your entire muse list there looks amazing. Dr. McCoy would definitely be welcomed, Sarah Connor sounds like a lot of fun.

I MEAN HI might I suggest ophiuchus? It's a game set on a barren planet, where characters must go wake up the Twelve (gods associated with the zodiac signs) and have sex to bring back life to the land. No sex or die here-- but if you abstain for more than three weeks you begin to have flu-like symptoms which get worse over time. I would say the game's about a medium pace, and so far everyone I've met has been super friendly, nice, and open!

I'm pretty new to the game myself but the castmates are fantastic! Right now we have Naoto, Kanji, and of course, this loser right here. We would love to have yu!

thegames is more action/plot than slice of life, but does have plenty of opportunities for slice of life moments and opportunities for player plots. We're slow-to-medium paced with an emphasis on prose and are very backtag friendly. AC is way easy (accumulate at least 100 points throughout the AC cycle, which can be easily done within a week if you tag new CR) with a main with-numbers check every couple months and an in between "I'm alive" check in. As for castmates, we have a HUGE Marvel cast made up of both MCU and 616 characters including a Steve (who would love a Sam), three Buckys (one MCU, one 616, one Panem-based AU), a Tony, and a Thor, and MCU!Natasha's currently reserved.

Would you perhaps be interested in thegames? It's a panfandom rp based on the Hunger Games where all the characters are Tributes stolen from their times and dimensions to battle to the death in the arenas for the pleasure of the Capitol viewing public. Only one person can reign as Victor and the rest die each arena, only to be revived for future arenas. But they never know if each time will be their last, since dropped characters aren't revived.

When not in the arenas they have to deal with Capitol politics and work in secret to rebel against the oppressive Capitol government. After a time, they'll be heading to the hidden District 13 to work on openly rebelling.

The games:

- has plot and slice of life. Both the arenas and the rebel plots are nice and juicy but their downtime in the Capitol has them able to explore all the weird things and bizarre parties the Capitol has to offer
- medium paced, tends to only speed up during plots, but it's very backtag-friendly

- Multiple castmates! There's Zuko here, Aang, an AU Azula (who's a Capitol citizen), and a Korra on reserve/in the test drive!

Aang and Zuko are already planning on trying to deal as much damage to the Capitol as they can, even if it's difficult to since so much has to be done in secret, and they sure could use Katara at their side. It's a great setting for her to get her hero streak on since Aang and Zuko, her fellow Tributes, and the poor people suffering in the districts could use her help.

How do you feel about horror games? It's quite a fast-paced game, although the AC can be a little challenging if you're having a slow month (it's 30 comments spread between three threads a month). So hi, I play Kieren here at box_logs and I'd love to see a Simon there! It's a bit more medium than slow, admittedly, but the AC is really easy (a 3 comment prose thread or 5 comment action spam thread, for example) and in my experience everyone is very, very backtag friendly! It's a plotty horror game, with really interesting events. Apps close on Monday for this round, but then reserves will open up again a few weeks into October.
