Ah... Rize... Very, very good.

This is most likely a long shot, especially if you're looking for something a little more... uh, immediate. But I would really, really love to see a Rize at CDC (consignmods). From my few months there, I've seen it to be a medium-fast pace, depending on what events are happening in the game plot. Great mods, great community. Fits your specifications. I've noticed many people to be very open to backtagging, though I do believe threads for AC need to be ones started within the month the AC is scheduled for. We're starting up a TG cast there right now with a Kaneki, Tsukiyama, and Suzuya...! We'll know more once acceptances for the last app round go out, haha.

Only issue is, app rounds in this game are irregular and usually very spaced-out. We just had one, so I don't think we're expecting another one until January/February. So I apologize that this isn't the most timely offer, perhaps, but I'd kick myself for not giving it a shot, haha. If you are interested and want eyes and ears on the next app round, I'd love to give you that information when it becomes available.

We have a small Dragon Age cast at ataraxion—Fenris here, plus Marian Hawke and Sebastian Vael—and the current lack of mages is really unfortunate. Fenris needs more people to glare at. Ax is a sci-fi horror jamjar, but my experience playing three characters who all lack any high-tech familiarity has been great, and there are a lot of opportunities for magic users to get involved!

As for your requirements: there are fewer than 200 characters, the overarching plot is a mystery to be solved both IC and OOC with major events every other month, no one minds backtagging, most of the game is on plurk, AC is five log comments or ten network comments per month, and canon updates are allowed and easy—but there's also no rule against apping from new releases, so you could probably app from Inquisition off the bat if you wanted to!

If you're interested, the test drive meme went up recently, and apps open December 1 and stay open for week. If you have any questions I am totally happy to answer them!
