If you're good with horror games, box_network is a medium-paced CitW-based jamjar with a fairly active metaplot! Obscure characters abound, and there's a pretty good pile of animu.

As far as castmates go, we've got an awesome Kyoko who I know would have fun playing off a Sayaka. I don't think we have much for your others, but honestly, everyone I know on your muselist looks great. Kudos for the Chrono Crusade ones especially; I didn't know anyone played from that series!

Yep, horror games are totally fine! I really like Cabin in the Woods, too. I'll definitely check the game out!

I'm glad my list looks good! CC's pretty much been the main fandom I play from for the last...I'm not sure. 3 years or so? I love Baccano, too, so it's awesome to see a Csezlaw!

Awesome! Our app round is end of month, so you'd have March for canon review if you wanted to do the thing. But it'd be great to see your characters around!

Oh man, Chrono Crusade's a lot of fun. I've read the manga... once, I think (waaay long ago), but I dragged a whole bunch of offline friends through the anime. And holy crap, you know Baccano!? Sorry for the excite; I'm just happy when anyone recognizes the series, much less my particular murderchild.

Yeah, Chrono Crusade is my favorite manga! I've watched the anime several times through, too. And I am...definitely no stranger to evangelizing the series to everyone. XD And hell yeah I know Baccano!, one of my favorite anime! I haven't had a chance to read through the novels but I'm definitely interested in those, too. Chrono Crusade got me really interested in that era of history, so I was pretty excited when I found out there was ANOTHER anime in the prohibition era. And man, the cast of that series is AMAZINGLY good. I don't think there's a single character in that series I don't like.

I could see that! Just curious, but what canonpoint do you play him from?

Definitely understanding that favorite. c: And fffff speaking of evangelizing and those light novels, if you give me half a chance, I will dump mounds of PDFs on you. (And on the entire internet, but. Shhh.) We've got a mid-sized Baccano cast in Box; it's a lot of fun!

post-manga, which...admittedly is a pretty weird canon point to play him from, haha. In the manga he regains his memories and sanity after he loses the horns and eventually works in the Magdalan Order to help people that were hurt by Aion's plans. The manga more or less jumps from him JUST having the horns removed and being a little emotionally unstable, to an epilogue with him in his twenties and (seemingly) fairly well-adjusted, and I've always thought it'd be cool to see the character development that leads to him becoming the person he is as an adult, so I'm drawn to that canon-point.

Well, plus, I question my ability to pull-off horns!Joshua so I've never had the guts to app him from that canon point.

I would actually be 100% okay with a PDF dump.

Aaah, that actually sounds really awesome! That's my favorite way to take a character-- pick a canonpoint where the development's not shown, or where they don't develop when they could have, and see what directions or progress they can be shoved in through game CR. Though YEAH I could see horns!Joshua being a major bag of crazy to take on.

Oh, good! I'm always a little worried that people that are more familiar with the anime will be like "this is Joshua??" since he ends up so different in the two different versions. But yeah, that's exactly how I feel! I really enjoy playing characters from canon points like that.

Mm, I know that feeling. It's right up there with having to offer disclaimers to everyone you tag that "CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT HAPPENED IN THIS GAME, I SWEAR. ;A;". Still, very much agreed, and looking forward to seeing how he ends up!

lol, yeah, that too. It can be really hard to explain why you play a character a certain way sometimes! Especially if you've been playing them for a while.
