Given your wishes, teleios might be perfect for you. It's easy going, has an over reaching slower moving plot with player plots offered most months. The mod is super flexible about plots and the like. AC is easy peasy and it's got the slice of life stuff as well. We've also got vampires from all kinds of canons, a supernatural cast and some others that I think would be interesting for John to interact with.
